2 weeks agoIncredibly rude receptionist, she should be disgusted with herself for the way she speaks and should take a hard look at herself and consider if she would want her loved one to be spoken to in the manner in which she does. She couldn’t possibly deny how condescending and snarky she is.Instead of being rude, condescending and blunt you could potentially try and listen and the speak before cutting people off.
The highlight – whats your name ? We spell the name and after this she said.. I didn’t ask you to spell it (who speaks to other people this way) you are so rude!
Called for a Telehealth for a medical certificate. After speaking so rudely and suggesting we get a home doctor to come out simply to provide a medical certificate for a covid patient, also suggested we visit the Frankston primary care centre (which the whole purpose of this is facility is to take the pressure off emergency departments). The receptionist wouldn’t provide her name and hung up. The phone call was at 12:50 pm 27/823- I would really hope someone would explain to her that not only is she incredibly rude but that she should not be suggesting these much needed emergency services when they are not required – she has obviously never worked in an emergency department.
It is very unfortunate really that you may have some great doctors however you have receptionist like this representing your business, it’s a shame and I am baffled how she is allowed to remain employed there as I am sure I’m not the only one she has spoken to in this manner.
a month agoThe service here is consistently poor. My first experience I was told over the phone to arrive at a certain time in order to do a walk in (child had an ear infection and I couldn’t predict or pre book for that). When I arrived, I was told I had to come back LATER but I chose to stay and wait. I then watched as other families arrived after me complaining they too had been told to arrive at the allocated time, only to be turned away. Poor form on the receptionist at the time advising people to turn up and waiting till they did to tell them to go away.Recently, I tried my luck again and while the initial appointment was ok as I booked online, I needed blood test results and called the clinic this time, only to wait 10 minutes for receptionist to answer my phone call. Despite the fact I spoke to receptionist in the morning to book an appointment for later that day it wasn’t until I arrived dragging my child out with me, to be told that it was now mixed billing, and I would be charged. I didn’t understand why the receptionist didn’t tell me when I spoke to her earlier on the phone as I would not have bothered. I walked out and soon after decided to call and ask for another option to get my results over the phone instead, waited 13 minutes for them to answer which frustrated me because I had just seen them sitting there doing nothing with an empty waiting room.
They said they could get the doctor to call me and credit where it’s due, I think he did, but I missed the call within seconds, no voicemail left, and I couldn’t be bothered waiting another 10 minutes for reception to answer my call. So, I have gone back to my usual doctor and asked for them to divert my results to them.
Now that this clinic is mixed billing, I would expect outstanding service, but there are many other clinics around that are now, (unfortunately) charging out of pocket expenses, who will give you the service you are paying for and deserve.
If a clinic can’t get their receptionist service to standard, then how are they going to handle a cancer diagnosis, or a sick child? I don’t have faith in this clinic, I’m sorry. Sad, considering this clinic has so much potential and is a much-needed service in this area.
a month agoThe receptionists constantly take the phone off from ringing. They are always caught out and fake knowing. I got there after being on hold for 40 mins and she was playing a game. She denied knowing. She said the phone wasn’t working. A month later, I was in the waiting room and someone walked in and said the same thing that they were on hold for an hour. They pretended again that the phone wasn’t working. Both the young and old receptionist do this. The manager needs to know. Because on 5 occasions now that I have called it has happened. I even told the young girl when she pretended it wasn’t working she was doing on purpose. She smirked. You can’t call through because the receptionists don’t want to answer. It has been months of this. You would think they would fix the phone if that was the issue. It’s called being lazy. You can’t fix lazy unprofessional people, but you can fix a phone. So, it’s obvious what the problem is.a year agoHave been coming to this clinic for a number of years now. When they first opened if was a significant boost to the Frankston community, with a wide range of health services on offer. Excellent operation hours making it super convenient to see a GP. You’ll find the majority of complaints here are regarding wait times, in order to avoid this scenario, come first thing or late at night, pro tip!Update 04/2022
You can tell the centre is trying to improve their reputation and patient experience. They’ve employed a 2IC who overseas operations and attempts to keep queues down. They encourage bookings using HotDoc and we didn’t wait longer than 30-45 mins past the booking time before being seen. A step in the right direction.
4 months agoGreat service on reception by both the staff on the front 8 May 23 between 1:30 -2pm. They were friendly, timely and professional. Also witnessed them deal with a difficult customer with the upmost care and consideration. Well done!

a month agoHave been going to this medicinal clinic for about a year and a half and everyone is always welcoming. Dr Sumanta is lovely and I appreciate his calm, thoughtful, yet no nonsense approach to my family’s health needs. Our experience of taking our little kids for their vaccinations was also really positive (as good as it could have been really). The nurses were kind and gentle. Would highly recommend.a month agoDeb at the front desk was very kind and endearing to make me feel comfortable when entering the clinic and professional to understand why I was visiting, and who I was booked in to see. Dr Samanta was efficient, professional and genuinely cared about my well-being and the outcome. I couldn’t ask for better care knowing my health is in the best hands.a month agoHappy with the visit and consultation. Appt was spot on time, which impressed me, as Doctors usually are always running well behind schedule. So thank you. Consultation was short but very objective and clear, with a treatment and follow up action plan.a month agoWonderful care..and concern..no hurry..My appointment went half an hour over and not a concern..I am 40+ years patient of clinic. You actually care for 4 generations of my family Me..My daughter..My granddaughter and my Great grandson..that surely tells a lot about you care Janice Dupuya month agoWe know the Doctors at Medical Centre Frankston are good, as are the girls at reception, but I want to give a big shout of support for the Nurses there. They keep this centre running smoothly and efficiently, and a huge thank you to the nurse that helped me yesterday you’re the best.

Planning to Visit an Australian General Practitioner? Here’s What You Should Consider!
When visiting a general practitioner (GP) in Australia, there are several important things to consider. These include:
- Location and accessibility: Choose a GP that is conveniently located and easily accessible to ensure regular visits and convenience in case of emergencies.
- Qualifications and experience: Check the qualifications and experience of the GP to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality healthcare.
- Specialization: Consider whether you require a GP with specific specialization, such as pediatric care, women’s health, or chronic disease management.
- Availability: Check the GP’s availability, including their working hours and whether they offer appointment-based or walk-in consultations.
- Bulk billing: Determine if the GP offers bulk billing, which means they accept the Medicare benefit as full payment for the consultation, eliminating out-of-pocket expenses for patients.
- Communication: Assess the GP’s communication skills, as it is important to have a comfortable and effective dialogue with your doctor to discuss your health concerns and understand their advice or treatment plans.
- Patient reviews and recommendations: Read patient reviews and consider seeking recommendations from friends, family, or colleagues to gauge the GP’s reputation and patient satisfaction.
- Continuity of care: Consider whether the GP offers continuity of care by keeping a detailed medical record and following up on your healthcare needs or referrals to specialists.
- Cost: Evaluate the cost of consultations and any additional services offered by the GP, such as vaccinations or medical certificates, to ensure they align with your budget and healthcare needs.
- Health insurance: If you have private health insurance, check if the GP participates in your insurance provider’s network to avail yourself of any additional benefits.
Overall, choosing the right GP is crucial for your overall health and wellbeing. Consider these factors to ensure you receive appropriate and comprehensive healthcare services in Australia.

The best in every way. It doesn’t matter which doctor you see all brilliant. The receptionists are friendly and efficient and never a long wait. At the moment they are seeing a lot of me and I honestly have no complaints
Found this clinic efficient. Only had to wait but over 10 minutes after scheduled appt time. Which is rare. Doctor asked right questions. Making this practice my new Doctors, as my previous Doctor at a other clinic was the only one I had faith in, and only Bulk Billing doctor has left that clinic to go into aged care..
On my first visit clinic due to usual GP was fully booked today. Receptionists are efficient and I didn’t need to wait for long.
Dr. Ajisa was friendly and brilliant. Overall I had very good experience including it’s bulk billing.
I noticed they open on weekends, it will be convenient. I’ll visit here again.
All this clinic wants is your money, I had an earache and was in aware they do not bulk bill after 1pm on a Saturday. I asked the receptionist if I could pay when I get paid the following Tuesday and was meet with a solid no and they canceled my appointment. They did not ask what was wrong with me and did not care. These clinics rip off the Medicare system for billions of dollars and then dump the system when they are not making enough money.
I have always been given high quality professional care. Beach St clinic is an extremely busy clinic due to the high standards of both the Gp’s and staff alike. Sometimes it’s is difficult to get through by phone. However, the clinic is on both the HotDoc and Healthline apps where making your chosen time and appointment is quick and easy !. So do the poor hard working reception staff a favour and try the apps first you can access the app 24/7
