Good racking and selection of items. However, the staff are poor in knowledge. They don’t know what is available in which aisle. It wouldn’t be a problem at least if they could direct the customers to someone who has an idea on this, but I felt those staff who are kids should need a bit more training.

Clean place with friendly team members. Easy to move around enough registers opened with the self-service area, too. We got what we wanted strolled around for a little while looking at the variety of Christmas merchandise already on show. Great place to shop without rushing about.

My husband and I had the most simple and wonderful experience with Dana at the kitchen special order section. Dana spent lots of time answering all our complicated questions and making sure we had all our dream pieces for a great price. We couldn’t help but keep spending more.

George from aisle 8 is such a legend! I asked him first what I need and he pointed me to aisle 43 to find it but when I found it and asked him again if that’s one (sadly it isn’t.) He accompanied me from aisle 8 to aisle 43 and show it to me himself! Now, my TV is so sleek! Big thanks George! ??

Came in the other day into the store the other day and needed some assistance with a few things and thank God, Daniel who I believe is one of the tools expert, was able to help me. Not the first time I’ve come into the store needing help and I just so happen to bump into this legend again. This man has a wide breadth of knowledge and has always been able to point me in the right direction. He has consistantly directed me in the right steps with required tools, timber and more, and none have failed to satisfy my needs. Always look forward to coming into the store! Man always has a smile on his face and positive can-do attitude. Highly recommend if you bump into him and have any questions, especially about tools, he’s the man. Good sales man and must be a very valuable team member to the store! Thank you Daniel and Springvale Bunnings!

My go to bunnings outlet closest to the CBD. Slightly smaller than your average store, often limited quantities for popular items but serves well overall.

At least the plants and garden section is pretty comprehensive.

    Overwhelming and convoluted:

I’m building a spice rack and know very little about making things. I went to bunnings for ideas/inspiration and the necessary items to construct my project.

I spoke with 9 different people – Claire and Kim upstairs were the best. They were excited to help me, wanted to understand my project and give tailored advice. They directed me downstairs to the right aisles. – I spoke with 5 people in aisles 4 and 5 who could not answer questions about the products in front of them. While I appreciate they didn’t guess the answers I would have liked assistance.

It was very frustrating explaining myself over and over. I also decided to purchase more stuff than I needed because I didn’t know what I needed exactly, and I will have to return items which is annoying. I also resorted to googling info in store because I couldn’t get the answers to my questions

Not a massive range. But can have some great clearance specials. Parking here is great. It’s easy and convenient.. which says a lot.. it’s hard to park anywhere around this area. But at least that isn’t a problem here. So kudos for that

Update… second last time I visited here staff approached my dad and said come on Greg you know your not allowed to be here. He isn’t Greg and it’s the second time we have been here…. Surely the guy can’t look exactly the same. Especially wearing our businesses work gear. His name is on his tshirt!!! You embarrassed the f out of him!

Thought it was isolated… I must look a bit dodgy… last visit I had two undercover / loss prevention following me and a staff member. It was quite off putting. I understand you have A job to do. Even if I do fit a profile, BE DISCREET about it. You guys made me want to steal to prove a point! Instead I left feeling violated and spent my money at Taits timber. $800 purchase. Good job guys ?

    Won’t be returning here!

TRADIES: DO NOT GO HERE WITH A VAN. The sign as you come down the ramp says 2.2m. Then you turn into the carpark and (after the boom opens – and a car is honking from behind) you are stuck! It drops to 1.8M! You cannot exit, as they have a barricade across the exit ramp. You have to navigate all the way round the carpark! Very poor signage. Crowded and tight store. 2 floors. Got everything. Very handy for inner city. But if you want to breathe, go to Port Melbourne instead.

  2. Massive Bunnings with a very large outdoor area for plants and trees. Loads of planters and pots available with more expensive clay pots or cheaper plastic ones also available. Loads of flowers for outdoors and lighting too. Super helpful staff who have knowledge on some of the plants and trees too. All reasonably priced compared to other shops. Everything you need for your garden worth a visit. Also sells seasonal decorations. It also has a cafe for snacks and coffee as well as bathrooms.

  3. Got my plumbing supplies. Team member approached to offer help. Nice service!
    Big store.
Dont trust the app for stocks or location. It sent me to aisle 101 when it was in aisle 7. Lol
    Pets welcome.
EDIT: Score! Sausage Sizzle today!!! ?
EDIT: The app sent me to the wrong aisle again. It cannot tell the difference between the ‘home’ location, and a temp ‘pop-up’ aisle display.

  4. Large hardware store. Friendly staff. In addition to finding all kinds of parts for your home fixes or DIY works, this store also has a cafe, kids playground, key cutting service, nursery, hire equipment and public toilets. If you’re looking for general items, I’d recommend comparing prices with Kmart, BigW, Woolworths or coles first before heading in here, they’re not always the cheapest. Plenty of free parking spots available. Partners with flybuys.

  5. Was able to get a “pot” of help from the staff here. Great staff and easy access to the plant area. A worker (Darcie, i think) really stood out and was able to help me find the right plant i need. Def would recommend this Bunnings to my friends 🙂
