Poor customer service. I asked for help to find pressure treated fence pickets. They were suppose to be in bay 85. Clerk told me they were over in the corner. I said they don’t appear to be. ‘They’ very reluctantly called for assistance in lumber, which never came. I found them myself outside, at the top of three pallets on the side of the building. I will spend my money at home depot.

We chose Lowe’s for a new washer & dryer because we have had such bad experiences with other appliance purchases in the Portland area. What a mistake. We made the purchase online, and scheduled delivery and installation. Everything was smooth until the installation guys showed up and said: we can’t install this because Lowe’s sent the wrong kit for the gas dryer, and we are not authorized to install part of it. Like… what? Then I started Googling about Lowe’s installation stories and found out this is par for the course. I’m sure this store is fine for buying things that you need for your home but BEWARE of the installation experience. We got a refund for that and hired a professional company to do it.

Great experience looking for a AC UNIT for bedroom ! And I wasn’t alone very long before an employee came and assisted me in finding the exact type of unit ! In and out, and atmosphere was great ! ? As you can see, we’re enjoying it ! ?

Incredibly inept customer service. Tried to return an item on the 91st day (if you include the day of purchase and day of return as whole days, which is not physically possible). Was told “The System” will not allow this. I said I can’t use the item and have more things to purchase, so could I please get some kind of store credit or discount card… anything. Was told no, so I left the item on the counter and walked away. I honestly don’t know why they still have humans in these roles if they are not empowered to make common sense decisions.

The pickup of $2200 of fencing was an absolute s$%t show and ended up in a hold of 3000 because the staff didn’t post the pickup accurately to my pending order. They created a whole new one. We stood in line for 10 minutes while people worked at the registers in front of us with NO customers and without 1 acknowledgment. Workers walked by without a word… it was sad but gave me a front row view to the rudeness at the Delta Park store… not even a ‘someone will be right with you’ in the 10 minutes we stood there.

I did watch several women with all these customer service patches hanging from their vests, be demeaning, and rude to their coworkers and customers on the return side. I was quite appalled and it sure gave your store a terrible face and unpleasant atmosphere. We had to make 3 trips that day.

The choices of plants and stone blocks are decent there. However, the service sucks: Two employees only helped us move a pellet of stone blocks down with a lift, but both of them just watched my hubby and I place 30 heavy blocks on a flatbed—one sitting inside the lift and the other leaning on a stack of soil bags, gawking at us. I was wondering were they plain lazy or the Home Depot at this location prohibits them to lend a hand to the customers who ultimately pay for their wages.

I had the worst luck with this place. We bought an electric lawn mower without any help. You used to be able to ask a question but try to find a helpful employee in this area. We chose a DeWalt (my tools are all of the same brand and work well). Drove 30 minutes home and found someone had stolen the batteries out of it – a known problem according to the store when we called. That lady was very nice. Unfortunately, when we got back to pick up replacement batteries it was an ordeal until she happened to meander her way by and explain to the two underwhelming kids working the return desk that she had indeed said I could pick up just the batteries with my receipt without showing them the actual lawnmower back in the box. That mower, once we could power it, turned out to be garbage. Don’t buy DeWalt so my son and I returned it a week later, last Saturday. It took 40 minutes to get someone to unlock another mower for us. Forty minutes, two visits to the customer service desk, and a call to the absolute rudest manager who said she had already tried to send someone over and she guessed she would just have to do it herself. She actually very sarcastically said, “oh, I just love customers like you” when I called to ask if they had anyone able to come sell us an $800 mower. Then she went on with the rest of her rude statement. Fortunately, my son tracked down someone to help us while we waited for her. She showed up as I was helping him team lift it on a cart and smugly asked if we needed anything else. I’m tempted to return this one as well, even though it seemed to work fine, because this place was so awful. I’ll just order one or go somewhere else. Whoever the Saturday morning manager is needs customer service training and Home Depot really needs to make an effort in staffing this location. I’ve spent thousands of dollars here, but won’t buy anything else.

I called ahead of time to check for an item with limited stock I was unable to order from the Home Depot app and was promised it was available in store. I rushed over only to find out the item was in fact not in stock and hasn’t been for days. However the manager came over and after some deliberation she graciously offered me a discount on the item. Found it in stock at another location and placed the order for me so it’s availability was guaranteed. While my initial experience was extremely frustrating the manager went above and beyond to ensure I was completely satisfied with my experience and I left a happy customer.

At Longview HD this type cart is hard to find as the store uses them for internet orders. Come off some profits and buy more of this type cart!?

I easily found the items that I needed for my project. I was however, extremely disappointed in their veterans discount program. Multiple levels of hoops to jump through to sign up. Then when I went to check out discovered that building supplies aren’t allowed in the program.

Went to pick up some flowers for my garden.
I specifically wanted some Dahlia’s and Zenia’s… they had neither.
I did find some daisys, a star lily, and a carnation.
They had a few flowers but I was not impressed with the selection.

  2. Vacationing In Portland, Oregon And My Daughter Heidi Asked If I Could Repair Her Fence At Her Home. I Said, Absolutely, Is There A Home Depot Nearby, She Said Yes. My Daughter Had Limited Amount Of Tools And Nothing For Repair. I Came Out With Everything I Needed, Plus Extra Materials And Spent About $225.00 Dollars. I Fixed Her Fence Temporally, But Looks So Much Better Than Before.

  3. We want to buy tools for my house yard. Someone helped us really good. I really appreciate it that. But self check is super hard and difficult. They said if we made a new Home Depot card 25% off for tools. So we made it and purchased it. Self check said wait for someone. But info sign and alert sound is so loud and make me uncomfortable. (Sound’s like I’m stealing or something’s big mistakes) But only one guy works so hard at there. He and my husband tried to check out together but still check out scanner didn’t work well around 10mins later 8-9people line up and other 3 customers was waiting selfcheckup sign light’s on. Bummer! No one helped that worker. Only one guy(He has mustache and beard wear the glasses and on hat He is a kind and nice man He keep said sorry apologizes to us but not his fault! Store Manager didn’t care lazy other workers!!) works so hard and customers service over there.!! Even other employees are watching us Keep passing and no one care about customers. So self check scanner doesn’t work we moved customer service line. 3people talking and didn’t do anything. I don’t know Home Depot workers rules. But I worked so many retails and customer service jobs. My boss or companies always said we can work multiple service jobs for customers. Help them and make them feel better when they have struggled. But what in the heck this location workers?! Terrible. Today is Aug 26th 2023 10:30am a lot of people try to buy some stuffs in there at Saturday. But lazy customer service isn’t good for this business.!!

  4. I would like to recognize Mike Smith. I went into Home Depot for some sockets and he helped me . His great customer service meant a lot to me and was very friendly. God bless you! Home depot is blessed to have you on their team .

  5. They have a decent selection of products I found what I needed on my own. It took some searching because the staff there isn’t very customer-oriented. Come to think of it my entire experience there I had no interaction between myself and an employee. Unless you count the checkout kiosk as an employee but I rang my own stuff up. They should have paid me since I did their job.
