I recently visited Home Depot to buy a rat trap and was pleasantly surprised by the wide range of products they offer. While the selection for rat traps was a bit limited, I was amazed by the extensive variety of other home equipment they had available. From tools to appliances and everything in between, the store seemed to have something for every home improvement need. The quality of the products was impressive, and the staff was helpful in assisting me with my purchase. Even though my initial purpose was specific, I left the store feeling impressed by the diverse options they provide for various home improvement projects.

I seldom write reviews, but I want to do it this time. I don’t know about other Home Depot stores, but this one is so lousy, there’s absolutely no customer support/help. A bunch of employees standing or walking around, avoiding eye contact with customers; because either they are super lazy, or they are completely clueless. This is not an isolated thing; this is ALL THE TIME. I just know that if I go to this store, I will get no help whatsoever. Last occasion: I stand in Aisle 16, needing some wires, employees walk around, I ask for help, they will call for help (because they themselves are clueless). No one shows up, so I go to the registers, a bunch of employees hanging out. I ask for help, they call for help on the megaphone. I wait in the isle, no one shows up. Whole 15 minutes. What a joke! So I left and I drove to the Payless Rockery. They have always staff who are knowledgeable and willing to help.

The store itself is excellent, great staff, obviously really good pricing and value.

But, the parking lot is saturated with day workers. An easy hundred every day. They come right up to your vehicle every single time you park. Everytime!!! Other Home Depots have been successful in keeping them out of the parking lot. But not this location. I always try and go anywhere else first. I don’t appreciate the experience.

Thank you very much home deport The staff of the company helped me find a backup battery. My aquarium will die without electricity, but I don’t know where to buy a battery. I thought of a good store in the United States, home deport. Sure enough, the employees in this store are the most responsible. Although they don’t sell batteries, they will help me find other places that have batteries. I’m really grateful. I’m not surprised why you can be the best national chain because of you There are the best employees, and it is recommended to give them a salary increase. The staff who helped me work number 2353 thank you for saving my fish.

Probably the worst Home Depot in the Bay Area. Staff are extremely horrid to deal with, super disrespect. Over charged for rental equipment and the assistant manager is on a power trip thinking he is managing top research at Google. Very unpleasant experience and some staff shouldn’t even be working there! This diagram is a joke.

My bf works at this Home Depot and he collects the carts in the lot. I’ve waited for him to get off of work in the parking. Now I’m not being biased because he’s my bf, but I see nobody out there but him. Yes, he’ll get help once in a while. But aside from that, the other employees that are suppose to be out there collecting carts with him are not out there. I don’t appreciate seeing my bf do this job alone when he has coworkers that are suppose to be out there as well. Home Depot gets a 2 out of 5 stars because my bf is there doing a great job!

What can I say? I placed an online order for paint to pickup here, waited and called 3 days in a row to find out where it was. Finally-day 4 it was ready… or so I thought. When I go to paint about a week later, none of the paint had any of the pigments in it. Home Depot’s picker legit grabbed paint base and passed it off as the selected color. I was livid. While Luis did make it right, and I got my paint, I would have appreciated a face to face apology for this issue. Not only will I not use online ordering anymore, I will just go to a competitor for paint. It’s unbelievable that Home Depot did this in the first place.

The folks working at the Return Center needs better customer service and store policy training. I tried returning a bare-root wisteria and the return service employee doubted the plant came looking like a stick (no leaf and a string like for a root). She asked her supervisor who also had doubts, so the supervisor asked the person in charge of the nursery to check the plant (the supervisor refused to look at a Google image that shows what a bare-root wisteria looks like). The person in charge of nursery acknowledged the plant, but then doubted that I still met the window of return. I had to tell her of the 90-day return policy. Then she asked for the receipt, otherwise she would only give me store credit based on the current price which is 1/2 the value I had paid for. In the past, the store would accept the credit card used for purchase to be used for return, but this lady asked for the receipt (the supervisor stayed quiet). So first, they questioned my honesty because they did not know what a bare-root plant looked like, then they questioned whether I could even return the item and would not allow me to use my credit card for the return. Don’t bother with this De Anza, San Jose, Home Depot store if they make it so difficult to return an item, don’t know about the store policy’s of 1 year return guarantee for plants (or 90 days as written on the receipt), and have doubts about a customer’s honesty. The return center employee, the supervisor, and the person in charge of nursery need training.

Usually a bit less crowded than other Home Depots, with all the stuff you’ve come to expect. If you are able to find a staff member, they are usually friendly. Returns can be a pain, not enough staff and slow processing. Prices are reasonable. They also have special parking lot sales sometimes (carpets, plants etc.). Day labourers can be found in the parking lot.

  1. Four stars for somewhat weak of in the lumbar department and hard to find a clerks to ask questions or directions!

It’s a fully stocked store and easy to park. Employees also friendly and helpful if you can find them. The return desk always busy specially in the morning!

I like their garden center which has wide variety of plants and flowers to choose! And there also a cashier to check you out.

  2. One of my favorite Lowe’s location to shop from.

Never hesitate to come to this location looking for items or products needed. In-store staffs are always super helpful, very patient and had answers questions when asked.

I can find pretty much everything I need, whether to remodel for my property, or just simply getting a cleaner.

    Thanks to Lowe’s employees!

  3. Beware of doing Online Order pickup here! Very inefficient operation

Ordered a small online-only item, selected this store for pickup. System says next day delivery- wow, cool. 10 days later, still no notification from Lowes. I check FedEx tracking and system says it was delivered 5 days before. I call the store and they confirm it was delivered there, but they say it needs to be “Received”. Ok. I ask if I can just stop by the store, show my ID etc and pick it up. They say no way, that the people who do the “Receiving” don’t work Saturdays, and that I’ll have to wait until Monday. Ok…. so what were the “Receiving” people doing when my package was sitting there all week long??

Monday AM, Lowes emails me saying it’s ready for pickup. In the afternoon, I do their online check-in 15 minutes before I get to the store. I get there, it’s still not ready. At this point, just par for the course. After giving my info to 2 different employees at the customer service desk and 30 minutes of waiting, a supervisor jumps in and gets my package for me (thank you!!)

Overall: Pretty frustrating from a basic customer service perspective. This store clearly has got some logistical issues to work through still.

  4. BEWARE – do not order anything from this store. I ordered a storage shed online (in stock) and no word for 9 days. Online status was just delayed with no ETA. Called the store. Waited 20min on the phone – heard them pick up and immediately hang up.

The corp helpline is much more helpful, but they can’t do much. I cancelled my order on the spot when no ETA can be had. You lost my money to amazon from here on out. Good luck.

  5. This has been on of the worst experience of customer services ever encountered. Please read this review and do not ever go to this store. It’s impossible to return something large to this store, in our case bathtubs. We have called the Lowes customer service line 8 times! EIGHT TIMES! It’s impossible to get a hold of anyone in the store. Melanie the associate probably the worst associate, the manager doesn’t return calls. Imagine trying to return bathtubs, which is what we are trying to do. At this point we can only do a chargeback as noone is helping us.
