7 months agoDon’t know if you can get bulk billed until you see the doctor.I needed pain medication for my severe spinal disease. I went to my appointment which is every fortnight. I was told to find another doctor who will bulk bill, only after I had started the consultation. The consultation was cancelled as I could not afford it.
On a Disability pension with cost of living skyrocket, bulkbill is essential. My rent alone went up by $40 per week, this month.
Ask which doctors bulk billed, l was told I would have to make appointments to find out as it is up to the individual doctor.
Why does the reception not have a list for the doctors willing to bulk bill when a patient is on a pension and financially on the bread line!
a year agoWe got the service from this practice for 6 years. When I was lack of experience and knowledge as well as the language barrier. This practice’s doctor put his interest before the patient. I can not believe the medical industry used sales skills to expand their profit. The damage the doctor has done are significant. I recommend every patient checks their health record. Level “D” is the most expensive level the GP can charge you. Which you have received unprofessional advice. As you have relied “We are sorry to hear of your disappointment with our service. If you would like to discuss your concerns further please make contact with the practice.” I will call you back tomorrow on 12.30pm. Please get a Mandarin Interpreter for me in cause you can understand me clearly. Thanks!2 years agoSome of the GPs are good, some are dismissive of any chronic illness other than diabetes, asthma, or heart disease. Most of the doctors assume that patients don’t know the difference between wellness blogs and peer-reviewd articles. If you do have an interest in medical research, some of the GPs will assume that you’re a hypochondriac, rather than a person living with a chronic illness that is not well understood.a year agoAs a condition of entry needing to have a mask I unfortunately do not have a mask so as I entered and explained this I was asked if I have one in my car I replied no I don’t or I’d have it on then I was asked if I had a appointment as I did hence why I was there and the receptionist said they have a mask I can buy for $1 having no money on me I had to leave if it is condition if entry then they should be supplied to the patient free of charge as this appointment was for my mental health that I now could not attend I’m hoping I can now get three another day being here Thankyou4 years agoUnfortunately I am writing this review a precaution to others , recently been having venesections from Busby Medical Practice Bathurst , after I callapsed a number of times afterwards , I discovered that the Nurses were NOT wearing gloves on inserting needles ( contamination ) , nore was my blood weighed correctly and incorrect blood was being extracted on a weekly basis , I then later found out that my paperwork was not filled out at ALL for 2 visits ( not good book keeping) also to find out Medicare was charged for procedure not carried out on myself , Busby issuing a refund to Medicare THIS POST IS TO MAKE YOU AWARE OF THE PROCEDURES CARRIED OUT AND WHAT YOU NEED TO BE AWARE OF… This is not to scare your doctor at the practice …but please be very careful

2 years agoTWO staff members are of the belief that some how they are better than the rest of us. They need to change their attitude toward some of the patients, I am speaking for me my daughter and son in law, I can’t speak for anyone else but Jane and Janette need a reality check and start showing respect to all the patients not just the ones they like. If you can’t say something nice don’t say anything at all11 months agoOnce the best surgery in town but today I couldn’t even even get tablets that I have been prescribed for the 15 years .I wish the doctors that make life so difficult could go through CRONIC PAIN for a month maby then they could see things from the patients view8 months agoReception staff very nice but the doctor I saw just googled every question I had. Totally uninformed and rude.5 years agoIf you need a medical certificate or have a runny nose then this place is ok as long as you don’t mind waiting over an hour on average. If you need a real doctor to treat you then avoid this ‘medicare cash register’. Doctors are either junior with poor English and oratory skills or had their ability to prescribe limited by the Dept of Health. They schedule patients every 10min so it’s a revolving door medicare cash grab. If you have a real medical concern do not go here.6 years agoOne of the best medical centres I have ever come across. The receptionists are bright, cheerful and efficient, not to mention patient. The GP I see, is the best I have ever seen. I can’t believe it took me so long to find this medical centre.

We were visiting Bathurst when my partner became unwell. We were able to get a same day appointment and didn’t have to wait once we arrived. The staff were all so friendly and helpful and The Dr was so lovely and incredibly thorough. Very happy customers!
We visited the center for my son’s treatment. The staff was good, but the doctor was not good and uncooperative. I do not advise anyone to visit the center.
Receptionist was very nice and also the doctor was a very nice . Very clean place aswell
I feel comfortable coming to Ochre, and find the staff friendly and welcoming!
Ochre Health in Bathurst is amazing. Reception staff are always so friendly. Saw a new Dr at short notice, Dr Ayaz is very kind, calm, and understanding, she listens intently, and is thorough. Would especially recommend her to teens/young adults as I found her easy to talk to as she’s very empathic, compassionate, and non-judgemental. Such a positive and calm experience!
