3 months agoWife booked an appointment at 9am. We arrived just before 9am, but both staff were already with customers. It appeared that one of the customers had no booking. We did the online booked few days in advance and even received an online confirmation the day before. We waited for about 10mins, and told the lady staff we will go for a walk then come back. We went back at around 930am, the staff was still with the same customer and Chatting away and taking their time. Clear we are not as important as other customers. What is the point of making an online booking, especially it was the first booking for the day at 9am? There usually is a reason why customers book in advance and the first appointment, because they have other schedules to meet. This is very unprofessional and even arrogant. When we went back at 9.30am, the other staff checked and said we need to wait for another 5min. Not even a Sorry for their errors and incompetency. This is not on and simply not good enough. We visit Southport often and have been to this place. During our lats visit, the gentleman staff was very friendly and nice. Non of that this time. Maybe business is too good to care about us as an individual customer and it’s a Monday morning. No smiles from the staff and lack of energy. They couldnt care less. Very disappointment to say the least. This typically can happen to businesses that are successful but overtime, sense of entitlement and arrogance kick in, and service standards start to drop over time but the staff wouldn’t even be aware of the service level drop. If the management does care, they need to review the situation and ensure it does not happy to other customers. Staff and computer system can make errors but the more important part is how you address the situation with the customers after the error has been made, ensuring they still have an good overall experience in the end. Not in our case, unfortunately.2 weeks agoBeen here a couple of times whilst living in Southport and so glad I found them! I had a bad experience at a different place which made me not want go to another hairdresser in Australia in fear of making my hair worse 🙁 but these guys have left me smiling both times, even when I had to get a big chop to fix my hair they made it look great! They’re very attentive and friendly. Definitely recommend ?
5 months agoI had such a good experience here! Sia brought my hair from virgin black to a cool beige blonde. It required 2 rounds of bleach and I requested that she blend brown into the roots. I have neutral/cool skin tone and she read it perfectly; the brown and beige tones she picked match my skin way better than the colors I showed her at the beginning of my appointment. She was very clear about the pricing and attentive to the processing time. My hair still feels strong and smooth, and Sia gave me hair wash recommendations to keep the color. I was at the salon from 10a to 4p and my total cost (Colour Pkg + root blend + 2nd round of bleach + extra dense hair) was $470 AUD. I love my colour, and would definitely return!Tip: Kausie is really conveniently located in an East Asian plaza. You can run over to Bánh Mì Southport and grab a sandwich. Machi Machi has some great boba to pair with 🙂
a month agoI have been here a few times and every time it’s great. My hair is so healthy and the service is always polite and friendly. The salon is clean and modern. Highly recommend! Thank you Ben for creating my beautiful hair!a month agoI have been getting my haircut from Andy (the director) for many years now. Every haircut, i feel like i have been graced by god lmao. No but in all seriousness, if you need confidence, a glow up, a transformation. Book here, and book Andy. He is a god with haircuts and has saved my life. Best place ever 🙂

I can’t express how happy I am with my hair and this Salon. Originally researching google reviews for salons that were good with blondes, I stumbled across Neons reviews. Very nervously I booked a appointment, asking for a senior stylist. After getting my hair done at various salons on the coast for 15+ years, and never completely satisfied, I was thinking it might be time for me to cut off my long thick locks. I was happy with my first initial appointment leaving with a fresh colour and being able to run my fingers through my hair. I think the second or third appointment I met the salon Manager Nicole. I asked if we could have a honest chat about my hair. She was open and friendly. I told her while I was happy, I still felt like I wanted more from my hair. When you have really long thick hair that takes some 5 hours you really want it just so. I began to list all the problems I’ve had at other salons, even ones I was loyal to for many many years. Things like the Colour never being quite what I wanted, to ashy or just bland, and always leaving with a dry and damaged mattered mess. The fact that I’d never left previous salons being able to run my fingers through my hair, always feeling like I needed to go straight home and wash it. I expressed that I was already a million times happier with her salon, but still wanted more from the Colour. I showed Nicole a picture of the blonde I was trying to achieve. And she explained to me how we were going to achieve that and what time frame without damaging my hair. She assured me we would get there and I didn’t need to cut off my long locks. Well yesterday I had my hair done again by Nicole and is such a gorgeous bright blonde. Another client walked in for her appointment and couldn’t stop staring and complementing me on it. She was totally mesmerized! So much so I heard her asking Nicole about my hair as I was leaving. I’m so thrilled to be the new ‘bench mark’ that people are trying to achieve with their blonde! Thank you Nicole!
Loved my first visit to Neon Hair & Beauty. I had my hair done by Kerolin, she is very professional and lovely. I left the salon feeling so good. Highly recommend! ?
Hairdresser Kerolin always makes wonders to my blonde hair . So natural and she always manges to know exactly what i want.
So happy with my hair and the service! as soon as I walked in there was lovely staff there to welcome me. The experience of the salon made me love my hair even more! I have been trying to get this color for 2 years and the first time Kerolin got it effortlessly!
Will definitely come again ☺️
Neon is my favourite hair salon in 13years of Australia ?? ? All hairdressers are extremely professional and they have the most friendly staff and outstanding customer service. Maryam is a start and produces miracles with her magic hands ?✨? I’m soo happy that I have the best salon just nearby ??
Thanks Maryam and team!! ?
