Good place to stop if you need to sleep in your caravan for free. There are toilet facilities available (just hold your breath). Nothing special about this spot… but an easy place to get to for a quick nights rest on a road trip. Also within walking distance to fast food & shopping center.
One of the few free rest areas in southern QLD. Be warned that it gets very crowded even on a weeknight outside of school holiday periods and is usually full by 6pm. There’s some picnic tables and toilets and a short walk to fast food. You can absolutely hear the sound of the highway and of cars pulling up late at night to search for a park.
Very nice place. There is not much parking and it is always full of people so you have to park at No Stoping, there are some homeless people who live there. Clean toilets. There is also a dump point
The highway can be noisy .. but it’s the best free stop near south Brisbane
Good place to rest over night. Not a lot of space, but there where still plenty of spots when I arrived at 18.00. Very noisy highway and a couple of homeless people.
The parkings are only for motor homes and caravan. Other cars are not allowed. No camping allowed unfortunately . Other vehicles are not allowed to park and rest. that’s very difficult to find hotels on peak days. they should make more parking for other cars too.
A white woman inside a white ute(without logo) regularly petrol at 6am record number plates. probably collecting revenue for council. she does not come out of car, just park in the middle , quietly check number plates, put details fines without ticketing.
There is a house behind. I doubt they have contacts with council too.
