I ordered a Croque Monsieur, a Lemon meringue tart and a flat white with an extra shot for lunch. I would have probably given the food 3 1/2 stars because it came out cold and it had to go back to be reheated. The bottom was untoasted and slightly doughy.

The tart was soggy and all meringue with not much lemon curd. In saying that the coffee was decent and the service was friendly. I would return to try an eclair or baguette.

A nice patissiere cafe with good coffee and baked goods, but the English of the staff member working there seemed a bit limited. The macarons are very good. It would be nice if they offered to heat the croissants, but perhaps they are unable to do so. It would also be nice if tomato sauce or relish were offered with the beef pie, but perhaps that is not an option either. I do like the coffee and food there so I will be back to sample some of their other items.

Not what I was expecting. Coffee was good but almond croissant was leathery perhaps yesterday’s stock. Shop is quite dirty and floors have not been washed with soap in ages. Even the display cabinets have dirty glass. Manager needs a kick up the bum.

Really enjoyed macarons there ! Fav were passion fruit, lemon merengue, and pistachios. Ended up getting 2 more dozens next day after I tried it. Croissant are okay. Almond croissant did not impressed me at all! But small cakes were great ! There are few tables outside which nice to sit down to have a coffee and enjoy little sweets. Place has sandwiches but have not tried any so can’t tell.

My suggestion to the cafe is maybe to change glasses for tall drink for something more suitable because it is almost impossible to hold that glass with a hot drink. By the time the glass will get to a manageable temperature, your drink is too cold. Maybe have a large cup for that option.

Sandwich and coffee was alright, nice seating outside. They had some good looking desserts and pastries but didn’t try them.

  1. Their almond croissant was absolutely delicious, with a perfect balance of flakiness and almond flavor. It was definitely the highlight of my visit. As for the coffee, it was decent but didn’t quite match the excellence of their pastries. The service was friendly, and the atmosphere cozy.

  2. It’s always a treat to visit Le Bon Choix with their delicious coffee and incredible pastries. Their desserts are definitely the highlight of the event. The dine in options both inside and outside are lovely with their French Parisian cafe feel. The staff are friendly and so welcoming. The premises are always clean and well maintained. I only wish they would carry some caffeine-free tea options like camomile or peppermint.

  3. Popped in for a cup of coffee whilst visit the city. It’s always a pleasant experience coming here. The coffee is good. The patisseries are excellent, along with great sandwiches and good service. There is seating outside and inside. There are toilet facilities downstairs. The place is airy and welcoming and the steady stream of patrons reflects its popularity. It also exudes an upmarket feel. I noted that the French staff is now mainly Asian staff, but they still greet you with a ‘Bonjour’ a smile and good service. A recommended spot in the city.

  4. Lovely service crew who acknowledges your presence and seek to assist before continuing on their other work tasks; as I always take very long to decide which beautiful pastries to choose from their immense delightful selection. Thankfully most of the exciting coffee joints are closed in the late afternoon in CBD area, therefore I have the opportunity to chance upon this lovely French dessert place. Nice music and cosy setting to enjoy my cake and coffee. The staff made me a cute flat white with his beautiful cafe latte etching skills. Thanks to him it brighten my day. Kudos to the pastry chef for designing such delicious pastry. The miroula dessert with the wonderful combination of chocolate mousse and macadamia crème brûlée centre crunch adds so much texture and diversity to this simple looking cake. Definitely recommended.
