The city of Sydney, Australia, is home to some of the finest and most famous beaches in the world. There are well over 100 beaches in the city, stretching from Palm Beach in the north to Garie Beach in the south, ranging in size from a few metres to several kilometres, located along the city's Pacific Ocean coastline and its harbours, bays and rivers.
With around 70 surf beaches and dozens of harbour coves, Sydney is almost unrivalled in the world for the number and quality of beaches available. The water and sand among the city beaches, despite their popularity, are remarkably clean. Very nice beach. Calm water, perfect for kids. Went there around 10am with my wife and baby. Parking was easy that time ..there was still a number of parking available by the time we left. We had our lunch at the Hunter Park across the street.

Fabulous family and child friendly beach. Safe swimming with minimal wave action but made up by some fun jumping off the jetty. Perfect for long beach walks and exploring the rocks at low tide especially. Great amenities and playground. Lots of shade on grassed areas too. Dogs on leash are welcomed.

Good place for a relaxing day on the beach! The water is quiet and clear, good for swimming , SUP or just play with sand. Good and clean facilities like toilet , restaurant, showers, walking track. Plenty of parking on the street.

This beach is miles better than other popular beaches. A few restaurants u can enjoy lunch or dinner. I’d recommend buying some snacks and drinks at a nearest supermarket if possible, cuz unfortunately, there is no place u can buy them around the beach.

This is an amazing family friendly beach. The waves are minimal, and are kid-friendly. There’s beach sand here. You can build a sandcastle. At the western and eastern ends of the beach is a lot of parkland with tree-shaded areas. There’s several toilet facilities here. Kiosks are located near the beach and across the road. Parking is hard to come by during summer, and the on-street parking is expensive. A lot of people catch the bus to this beach – some people even park their cars blocks away from the beach to take advantage of the free parking, and then catch the bus the few blocks to the beach. This is a great spot to visit. We walk to this beach from Manly and Sydney regular – part of an amazing harbour walking route.

  1. It’s been about two years since I last saw a beach. Didn’t take a step in sadly but it’s truly a nice beach. Cool wind breeze and many surfers and volleyball players. It’s surrounded by small shop and apartments or condos.

Great place to live next to.

  2. Nice place, plenty of shops. I walked to Shelly Beach further round from main beaches, much smaller, and felt safer to swim without the fear of jelly fish stings.
Views whilst crossing from Sydney Harbour were amazing.

  3. The emerald colored sea of the South Pacific was a wonderful sight, and the strong winds and strong waves were impressive.
I think this is the reason why many people recommended the Manly beach is the first visit beach in Sydney.
There were many seagulls and many people enjoying sunbathing and swimming in the sea.

  4. It’s such a beautiful beach, not very crowded at all. Very neat and clean. Lot of people are surfing. Kids playing around. Just nice to sit and enjoy the peace. Lots of birds are also around. Best for family. Also the ferry ride from Circular Quay is very nice.

  5. A Fantastic beach, gets very busy as it’s one of the best beaches!

Only negative as you probably know is the parking. It’s hard to come by and short timed.
