2 months agoThe burger didn’t completely hit the spot for me but I did have high expectations. Bun was a let down, patty was tiny, not much bacon, not much guac. Everything just wasn’t right. Would have definitely been a 3 star if it wasn’t for the animal fries…. Damn they were good!Worth a try for sure but for the OG of Hobart burgers I was expecting more!
Sitting up at the open rooftop was a rad spot ?
3 weeks agoAwesome little.nook for eating in or take out. Looks small but is surprisingly big with a three storey building. The atmosphere is awesome, the staff are super friendly and the food is amazing ?2 months agoVery standard burgers. It’s a great place for teens, there were so many of them running up and down the stairs.. They were out of chicken so that’s half their menu not available. The loaded chips were tasty. Beef burger was fine, more lettuce than anything. It was extremely well priced though.a month agoThe chicken burger I had was fantastic and the Tim Tam shake was delicious. Only downside is there’s no table service so you have to go up and down the stairs to get your food when it’s ready.a week agoWent for dinner with the family. One of my kids has an egg allergy. Both front and back of house staff were so friendly and went above and beyond to ensure that his burger was safe. Great food and the posters upstairs. Highly recommend.

Amazing place and a highlight of our Tassie trip, absolutely packed so make sure you book! Enjoyed it so much we went back again the next day. Less subtle than traditional Japanese food but packed with flavour and cooked perfectly. The cocktails were amazing (and potent)! Would highly recommend for any Hobart visit
Best restaurant Australia wide of 2023? Maybe! Everything was on point. Food was absolutely delicious, interesting and generously portioned. Cocktails were delicious and the service was fun, professional and knowledgeable. This little place puts most mainland restaurants to shame across the board! 100% visit if you’re in Tassie!
We went for the Oysters, which were very good. We selected 3 types and we were happy. The other 2 dishes (fish nanbanzuke and beef&miso butter fried rice) were not to our taste. One was too salty and the other somewhat fatty (couldn’t figure out why). I know this is subjective, nevertheless these was our experience. The place is quite popular and the service was good.
This place is great! Food is delicious, with plenty of options for vegans!
ordering a few different dishes to share is highly recommended!
I ate here a few times and only one time I was disappointed when my dish was way too salty.
Cocktails are tasty but a bit small.
The decoration is beautiful with pieces of art hanging in every corner, of which you can find more info by scanning a QR code.
Such a brilliant izakaya venue in Hobart. Great atmosphere and service. Tasty dishes and a great sake list. We tried many dishes and stuffed our guts and enjoyed all of it. Definitely will be back when we come back to Hobart this year. Bravo
