Extremely fun day out with the kids. Next time I will be booking a table for the group because the space can be limited when trying to eat. Other than that, my son had fun and loved the frozen drinks. This place definitely builds up confidence.

Went here for a birthday and my little one (15 months) had an absolute blast! There was a crash pad area for littles that she loved. We will definitely be coming back with one exception: the Tiny Tots area (5 and under) needs to be managed and supervised better by the staff. There were multiple children who were definitely over the age of 5 crashing through the jumping castles, being rough with the young children and all over dangerous. Staff members never once said anything, despite heaps of signs stating the area was 5 and under.

  1. This is the best play ground I’ve ever come across the kids love it.
Cairns city council and the botanical gardens have done a great job.
Just don’t forget your insect repellent.

  2. If you love nature and the environment check out Centenary Lakes. This area is a real asset to Cairns. Keep any little ones away from the water though, just in case there is a croc hiding nearby.

  3. It’s a really lovely place for young children to play and learn. Quite accessible but at the time of visiting the water play systems weren’t working, the kids still enjoyed themselves however.

  4. A nice park and picnic area in Edge Hill. This is located 7-10 mins from the Cairns central. This has a few interesting play area for the kids like a mechanical excavator, slides, and sand pit which can keep the kids entertained for hours together.
This park has a cleanly maintained BBQ area with wash basins.
This park has a good walking track and some good photography opportunities.
Just beware of the mozzie and be prepared with insect repellents.
