2 years agoSecret fees hidden in the clunky, ugly, slow online banking and app! No warnings nor notifications provided about ridiculous, unjustifiable charges for when scheduled transactions (e.g. Rent) aren’t sent because money is in other accounts. If you charged $15 every time somebody’s card declined at the shops, you’d have no customers. So why pull this with online banking? If it can’t be sent, just bloody tell me! There was no overdraft leant, no work required on your part, and no notification that my rent transfers had declined for a month. You’ve charged me $60 for nothing, and in this situation most people would consequently be receiving arrears or eviction notices from landlords … I’m going back to Bank Australia. We’re all sick of rip-off banks likes MyState. #ABCnews3 years agoMe: hello. I am just ringing because you haven’t responded to my application Beryl (not real name) myState: yeah that’s because we haven’t got these documents. Me: yes you do. I uploaded them on the same day. Beryl: no you didn’t. Me: yes. I did. Beryl: oh so you did. Well I just tried to call you before. Me: did you? Really? Beryl: yup. But it went straight through. Didn’t even go to voice mail. Me: you rang me on this number????. Beryl. Yup. Me: and I don’t have a voice mail, text message or missed call on my phone? Beryl: will I did ring you. And you should have answered that email last week. Me: is that the email that asked me to upload all the documents I had just uploaded?…..3 years agoA “bank” for pensioners to have their benefits paid into.If you want quick transfer of funds, more than $2500 a day to your share trading or crypto accounts forget about it.Centrelink like times when waiting for customer service. Time their call centre people went back to work -no reason for them to be working from home – those connections take forever8 years agoI had to wait for 30 minutes for a call to be answered and then pressed 2 to get a callback. After 2 hours no callback. This is on a Friday when an urgent matter arose. If this is the regular response situation I suggest a few more people to answer the phone. It is almost as bad on other days as well. It is simply not good enough. More people at least at peak times or you are seriously compromising your customers. Two stars is kind in this instance.

I went in today between around 11am and midday. It wasn’t busy when I went in, but I had a fairly long request for the teller, and due to a misbehaving printer the line quickly built up.
Michael, Eliza and Twinkle were all working as fast as they could to process the growing line as quickly as possible. They were all very friendly and professional, despite many customers being quite rude and hostile for no particular reason. They were doing such a good job to stay so cheerful – I daresay I’d quickly snap if customers treated me like that all day!
Poor time management and customer service unfortunately.
Since there’s 4 more people on waiting list before me, Justin the enquiry officer put me on list and ask me to come back in 20 mins then I’ll be ready to served.
When I get back the lady on enquiry told me there’s 5 more people before me and not sure how long would it be. I ask her to confirm with Justin as even no one before me has finished their consultation should be 4 more to be wait not 5. Justin was next to us but can’t even bother to come across and explain, he only asks the lady to follow the waiting list and don’t give an estimate waiting time.
I understand it’s not easy to estimate time when it’s busy but don’t give promise that you can’t keep. Totally waste of my time running around for nothing.
For a capital city CBD branch this place is a joke. Two tellers working while the line is out the door. Extremely poor decision to make the change machine for business only. Just makes more work for the tellers and slows everything down even more. Waited nearly half an hour in line while tellers are doing complicated transactions with the people ahead of me and all I wanted was some $5 notes. Do better for your customers.
Service was unhelpful. Today as I was trying to sit down and discuss a dispute I just lodged, the staff that served me kept saying they couldn’t help and there was nothing they could do or discuss or even share similar cases. He was rude and distracted, he served others while we were having the conversation. Do better.
Chris Elliott is really helpful and has very good customer service skills.
He goes over and beyond to satisfy his customers.
