Awesome place to visit. Lovely staff, a very interesting place. They have plenty of shaded areas to sit. They even have a little snack and very cold drink area. They also have a wonderful couple of rooms where you can stick your thoughts about your visit. Very well worth the trip

Highly recommend taking the guided tour. So informative and the host was so passionate telling stories from people who had lived there and returned to explore their memories. Very emotional journey for those revisiting. Definitely gives you an appreciation for the new Australians that came such a long way to start their new lives.

WOW – what an amazing story this place has – first an army camp for WW2 recruit training, then a camp for Euro-migrants coming to AUS on the “10 pound pom” schemes that existed upto 1972. Absolutely fascinating – allow 2 hours

Many family friends were residents of Bonegilla when they first arrived in Australia. Only because we had friends in Sydney from the same village did we not go to Bonegilla. Thoroughly enjoyed this museum. The displays are great. Wonderful photographs. Well worth a visit by anybody with any connection to the place.
