4 months agoWow our team building painting session with Munganbana was amazing. He provided a great activity for our team. The “story telling” component was the perfect approach and it was so rewarding for me to see and hear how much our team had all enjoyed their days experiencing a tiny bit of the Reef and Rainforest while on a corporate retreat.Munganbanas flexibility to accommodate our need, the effort he went to prepare and then clean up was very much appreciated. His generosity in providing some little extras and his overall approach to helping us all create our own little masterpieces was much appreciated.
We all feel very blessed to have met him and to have had such a fun but also rewarding and reflective experience.

This is a marvellous alternative when I don’t have spare $$ but want to share aboriginal art with my friends and family. What a beautiful gallery! The building is thoughtfully designed and chic and the art on display was interesting and informative and moving. We got our favorite gifts in the gallery’s gift shop, including a couple of prints of some of the work we loved in the galleries. A treasure in Cairns!
It’s a small art gallery close to Esplanade, and free to visit. Good idea to drop by adjacent Court House Gallery as well. Some nifty products in shop.
Beautiful experience. Our first Cairns experience and the art work informed us about the character of Cairns. A photographic exhibition that focused on Yarrabah, an artist from Thursday Island initially but now a Cairn’s resident, had executed some wonderful lino cut prints and the lovely fabrics on display in the gift shop spoke of a modern colourful tropical city.
Free entry! Recommend to go as they have three floors with three different exhibitions. I love the one “Colonialism and Nature Painting” by Ellis Rowan as it shows the nature of the Queensland area.
What a beautiful space. Seperate rooms with a new discovery in each? wonderful gift shop with local art and the young lady at the front counter was adorable. Thankyou for this delightful wonder through some amazing pieces of art ???️?
