a month agoMonth of visit: December 2023My friends and I had an amazing time here! What we loved most is that it is easy to access by public transportation, paved walkways, and trail signs everywhere, which helps our navigation.
The place itself offers a great view as it shows us where the rainforest meets the ocean! The track is also easy to follow and easy for beginner. There are also some swimming opportunities as well, very beautiful!
a month agoEasy and rather picturesque walk. Well paved. Suitable for all ages. The loop will take you 40min to 1.5 hours depending on your pace.
Plenty of swimming opportunities as well.
Lots of bush turkeys and lizards around.
The path is mostly shaded, so easy to in hot sunny weather.
Definitely recommend.
in the last weekFantastic scenic walk around Burleigh point to Tallibudgera. Over bridge then out to spit on rock wall. Return for swim in clear cool watera month agoGreat views with a short hike to the top. The park has three entrances so make sure you know where you parked your car. Home to Wild turkeys and Geckos4 months agoIt’s a 10 minute drive from our place and it’s a perfect spot to do our weekend exercise. I love the nature and the beach along with it. I love doing our afternoon walks with nature in here. It’s very refreshing and relaxing!

Wow what a superb wildlife park!! Can’t recommend it enough. Beautifully designed, educational, healthy animals and passionate staff. Get there early for the parakeet feeding (8am onwards).
I visited with my family and partners parents who visited from the Netherlands and it was great for them that as soon as you walk in there are so many koalas to see, you can pat kangaroos and emus, walk with the wallabies etc.
I’ll do a separate review for the tree-top challenge but all I’ll say here is it is SO worth the $40 ticket upgrade.
Plenty of add-on experiences too but book these in advance.
Only downsides were there is currently only one place to order food, and the train around the park stops early.
Enjoy visiting!!
Was really impressed with the modern nature of the facilities and upkeep of the premises. It’s a lush hideaway with cool walking tracks thanks to the stunning vegetation. A lot of effort has gone into designing the enclosures. Staff were all really friendly and helpful. Far better than some of the other zoos around SEQ.
The highlight was certainly the cultural dance show!
Visit this sanctuary was a rather disappointing experience. Not only did it feel like a waste of both time and money, but there was also no option for a refund, which left me quite frustrated.
The lack of wildlife sightings within the sanctuary was particularly disheartening, as I felt I could have seen more birds and animals just by walking down the street. The reptile section was another letdown, with its dim lighting making it difficult to even navigate, let alone observe the reptiles.
On a positive note, I found the staff to be friendly and helpful, which was a small consolation in an otherwise underwhelming visit.
Free train travel inside yard is also a joy , Overally I left the sanctuary with my wife feeling penitent for choosing it as a destination, and I hope they can make improvements to provide a more satisfying experience for visitors in the future. ???
As a tourist I really enjoyed my trip here.
Typical overpriced attraction. $5 for water, $25 for a basic meal, over priced souvenirs. What do you expect though, it all goes to a good cause.
I recommend coming here. Plan to bring sun screen, lots of water, and some food (if you want to save $$$)
We enjoyed the bird show, Dino trail and blinky bill, 2 more shows in the afternoon is quite a long wait after the morning shows. I wish they can put more shows. The mini train is convenient. Be sure to bring your water/drinks and snacks as it can be quite expensive ($6/bottle & & $4 for small packet of chips?), the hot food is fair price.
