I loved the building in the shopping centre,we just entered and I saw it and was in shock. They also have an over sized clock that plays a show every hour and chimes every fifteen minutes. But the shops I saw in the mall were not good shops. No Kmart, target or even big w in this massive store I don’t think I overly cared about any store in this shopping centre besides the Lego store.

This place is almost overwhelming, there is so much to see and the scale of the art/architecture is something to behold. Shopping, eating, and simply taking it all in, you can easily loose a few hours.

Great place to shop & grab a feed! Even see a movie! The historic Shot Tower wasn’t torn down & is a perfect “meeting” spot.

A train station, a shopping mall and a monument all in one!

Definitely recommend taking the time to enjoy the view of the shot tower while visiting. It’s unbelievably beautiful!

I am not a big fan of shopping malls but Melbourne Central is different because it incorporates the historic Shot Tower. It also has the added advantage of the railway station. There are plenty of shops and eateries.

  1. It’s an excellent place for shopping. Shops catering to everyone, from bargain stores to high end stores, you’ll find anything you need here. Feels spacious, and clean with plenty of seating area to rest and a massive food court with all types of cuisine available. There’s proper restaurants within too if you wish for a less casual dine in experience. Also houses other entertainment experiences like movies, mini golf, Legoland, arcade and bowling. Be prepared to walk though, some stores can be quite far. Free parking is a bonus so you can take your time exploring!

  2. Chadstone Mall boasts an array of prominent big-name brands, and you can explore the available shops on their website: Chadstone Shopping. Personally, our visit was centered around Target and BWS. Both of these supermarkets offer a wide range of products, including clothing for infants to adults, bags, accessories, and more. The price points are reasonable, and the quality is commendable.

The mall, in general, is enormous. Plan to spend at least two hours there for a leisurely session of window shopping and a quick lunch. This should give you a glimpse of the mall’s sheer size. Keep in mind that parking is somewhat limited. The open-space turnaround for cars is faster than the multi-story options, but it comes at the expense of being farther away from the mall.”

  3. Awesome shopping centre with everything you need, and now that they have opened their new arcade section with mini golf, bowling etc.. It really has it all! It’s a very modern and clean environment every time I go.
The food can be a bit pricy but they have food courts with the usual fast food stores so there are cheaper alternatives on site to the restaurants if needed.
Parking can be difficult but that’s to be expected and it’s usually not too long if you don’t mind walking a bit. They do have shorter timed parking spots really close as well if you are only going to be under an hour to

  4. Upon careful consideration of my shopping experience, I must express both commendations and reservations. The ambiance of the establishment exuded an air of sophistication, contributing positively to the overall shopping milieu.

The shopping experience was notably positive, with the establishment exuding a bustling ambiance. The presence of abundant advertisements added to the overall vibrancy, creating an environment where the sheer volume of offerings contributed to a sense of variety. Despite the busyness of the surroundings, the experience was gratifying, and the lively atmosphere added a distinctive energy to the overall shopping milieu.

  5. Having lived overseas for more than a decade, I was blown away by how much had been added on to Chadstone.

The car parks alone take up an incredible amount of real estate, but even so, it took us close to 30 mins to find an empty one.

By the time I’d found everything I needed, I had to change levels several times. Before I was finished, I felt like I’d walked miles and was exhausted.

Bottom line: if you want a more relaxed shopping experience, I wouldn’t recommend Chadstone. However, if the huge crowds don’t bother you and you have lots of patience, there are literally hundreds of diverse shops for you to explore.
