a week agoIf you are interested in knowing facts about butterflies then this is a place to visit. We really enjoyed our visit. The ticket prices are on a bit higher side. There is a cafe that serves good food but again the prices might seem a bit higher. Ample parking is available on-site. Overall, a nice place to take your kids in Coffs Harbour.3 months agoGreat value for money, well while tourist attraction for all ages. Spent time with the butterflies, talking to experienced individuals that shared insightful information about the butterflies when you engaged in conversation. Time spent going through the maze was entertaining as well. The cafe had a delightful selection and the scones did not disappoint.
The dinosaurs were great to see, the dinosaur show was short and sweet.
The opening hours are limited so that might be something to be mindful of when planning to visit depending on how much time you want to spend at this attraction.
There are peacocks that roam freely around the property as well if you like birds!
2 weeks agoI recently visited the Coffs Harbour Butterfly House and had a good experience overall. The vibrant array of butterflies was truly captivating, creating a serene and enchanting atmosphere. The facility is well-maintained, providing a suitable environment for these delicate creatures to thrive. The highlight of the visit was undoubtedly the opportunity to observe the butterflies up close and personal. The variety of species is impressive, and their vibrant colors make for a visually stunning display. It’s a unique and educational experience that could be particularly engaging for children. The staff members were knowledgeable and eager to share insights about the different species, adding value to the visit.
However, the overall size of the Butterfly House might be a bit limited for some visitors, and those seeking a more extensive collection might find it relatively small. Additionally, the entrance fee seemed a bit on the higher side, considering the size of the facility. While it’s understandable that maintaining a suitable environment for butterflies requires investment, the pricing could be a deterrent for some visitors.
On the positive side, the Butterfly House provides a peaceful escape into nature, and the educational aspect is commendable. It’s a great opportunity for families with children to learn about these fascinating insects. The onsite cafe is a nice touch, offering refreshments and a place to relax after exploring the butterfly habitat.
In conclusion, the Coffs Harbour Butterfly House offers a delightful experience, especially for families and nature enthusiasts. While there are some areas for improvement, the positive aspects, such as the variety of butterflies and knowledgeable staff, make it a worthwhile visit for those interested in the world of butterflies.
3 weeks agoTook about 45 minutes to view entire place. The shows available to watch catered more to little ones than my teens.
Was not a fan of the scones with jam and cream from cafe, herbal tea was fine.
a month agoAbsolutely must do! We have a large family of 10 children and we found it absolutely affordable. The cafe was delicious and the staff were so friendly and helpful!! Looking forward to our next visit!!

We had the most enjoyable day. Got to feed a ray, and a small shark.
Seen penguins being fed, the dolphins and sea lion performing, small turtles, and large turtles in the turtle hospital.
The staff are very knowledgeable on the needs of the animals, and we came away with so much information.
Please support the work being carried out for these creatures by donations
What an amazing little Sanctuary!
Wonderful animals, and information, the talks were very informative and interactive.
Even though it was almost cyclone weather the kids aged 13-7 had an absolute ball. I don’t know how we’ll go back to the Seal show at Taronga Zoo after the amazing seal show and even more incredible Dolphin Show. Hands to the keepers and staff for persevering in the torrential rain.
Food was yummy and well priced and the gift shop was special, we snagged some original masterpieces by the seals.
Such a wonderful place to get an up close and personal view of our beautiful marine life. People who comment on the enclosures etc aren’t listening to what’s being said or asking the right questions. The team here absolutely love the animals and what they are doing to help and rehabilitate sick or injured animals is truely priceless and I hope the centre keeps getting the support it needs to. It was great years ago but even better now that it’s family owned.
This place is still just as amazing as when I was a kid! Was insanely happy I took my daughter there this year! The current owner loves the site and everything it stands for in conservation and rescue.
I can highly recommend the sealion and dolphin experience!!
Our first time visiting Coffs Harbour and we had to go here as we love animals.Such a great little place and lots of shows throughout the day to keep you entertained, from turtles dolphins sea lions penguins and more it’s definitely worth visiting ? ?
