a month agoThe Kershaw Gardens is an amazing playground that provides any childlike inclined person tons of fun from the water play area to the multi story climbing net. Put all of this together with a fully covered play area for protecting the family, this has it all. This feels great for the entire family and i would recommend it for all. Come and play in the park, have a BBQ then spend the afternoon relaxing in the water play. Do not miss !!4 months agoMy kids loved it. 11 & 9 and they were entertained for over an hour. So much stuff to play on (hamster wheel, 2x zip lines, in ground trampolines, the massive climbing structure and two slides off it.) The water play area was cool too. Only wish the monorail thing was working.a month agoWe had a lot of fun with this park, we were not quite prepared for the outdoor play but definitely will be next time! Bring your toggs and a towel just in case.7 months agoAwesome park for the whole family. Huge playground with heaps of different areas for kids. Waterfalls are a nice and relaxing and the walk around the gardens is pleasant.a week agoThe park was great but the train wasn’t there at all but the playground and shade 5 stars

Rockhampton Botanic Garden is undeniably beautiful, and I enjoyed strolling through its lush landscapes and diverse plant collections.
The garden’s well-designed pathways took me on a delightful journey through a wide variety of plant species, each more stunning than the last. The colorful blooms, lush greenery, and well-tended landscapes made for a picturesque and relaxing experience.
One of my favorite spots was the peaceful lake, where I could sit and unwind while enjoying the natural surroundings. The garden offers a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life.
Rockhampton Botanic Garden is not only a beautiful place to explore but also an educational one. The informative signs and exhibits provided valuable insights into the diverse plant life, making the visit both enjoyable and enlightening.
However, I must mention that the area housing the bats was a bit of a disappointment.
The overpowering stench from the bat enclosure was a significant drawback to an otherwise pleasant visit. Additionally, I noticed some cleanliness issues in that particular section of the garden.
While I understand that bats are an essential part of the ecosystem, it would be beneficial for the management to address the odor and cleanliness concerns to enhance the overall visitor experience.
Aside from the bats’ area, the rest of the garden was well-maintained, and the variety of flora made it a lovely place to explore. The garden’s peaceful ambiance and educational exhibits were definite highlights.
I hope the management takes note of the feedback and works towards improving the bat enclosure.
Great botanic gardens to visit. A good variety of exhibits from Japanese gardens to Asian fruit trees, a cenotaph and a lagoon with all kinds of bird life. It’s right next to the Rockhampton Zoo so allow at least a couple of hours if you want to see both. Nice little cafe where you can get a coffee and cake or an ice cream and sit and watch the bird life all around. Lots of Rainbow Lorikeets will come over while you’re eating and probably try to scrounge some food, but feeding them is discouraged.
One of the most amazing gardens you’ll see. Some parts of it feels like a rainforest. Some very large trees grow here. The playground is nestled under all these large trees creating natural shade for the all ages of children to play. The playground itself is also amazing!! Definitely worth a visit.
Lovely trip here to the Radiance installation at Christmas. We will certainly return during daylight as the gardens seemed lovely, well-kept and peaceful.
This was a wonderful visit for the lights display. We look forward to coming to to explore the gardens during the day and having longer play in the playground.
