a month agoI can only share this as a regular customer of this store as its within walking distance to home. We have been ordering basically the same meal for approximately 6 years until closure about a year ago. Staff at front counter not friendly and argumentative with customers. Now, I appreciate some items being prepared in advance but a roll with chicken and gravy. How hard is that. The cooking staff easily took the initiative to make it as ordered for years. The chicken with pineapple pack was just acceptable. A little dry Customers who order should be asked to grab their drinks while waiting for food so its not forgotten. It needs a lot of improvement to match before closurea week agoSo I ordered the $5 meal the quarter chicken and chips, I also got one piece of sweet honey chicken for $2.50. The quarter chicken was the smallest chicken leg with thigh I’ve seen, definitely not a quarter and the sweet honey chicken for $2.50 was the size of a chicken wing. I saw the manager whispering to the workers something and when I got home and opened the bag it dawn on me what he told his employees ?. Seriously though Don’t go to Red Rooster Aspley total rip off total fraud. Aspley community deserves better. Red Rooster franchise hope you are paying attention. Never ever will I go back there ??????2 months agoOrdered the Hot Honey Fried Pack and the chicken was succulent and crispy, and each piece was larger than what you’d usually expect. However this experience was affected by the lacking customer service – I clearly ordered the ‘Hot Honey Fried Pack’ but was served a ‘Hot Honey Satisfryer’ meal. Proceeded to rectify this error with the store manager (who suspected that I ate half the chips beforehand)- however, I told him the chips were served as is (poorly packed/half empty). All the staff were indifferent and non-apologetic. I would still return again and am willing to rough the poor customer service just because the chicken was so good.5 months agoDecided to take family home some Red Rooster for dinner. Purchased the family feeder meal for $36. When we drove through to window the staff were really friendly & professional, however once home our food was the worst I’ve ever had from a Red Rooster. Our chips were cold, soggy from not being cooked properly and had absolutely NO seasoning at all. Our chicken was cold and looked awful in the box. We did get alright roasted potatoes and and the coleslaw was nice but gravy was cold and tasted a bit strange. Sadly our overall purchase was disappointing and not to keen to spend money there again anytime soon.3 weeks agoTheir mash potatoes are usually 3/4 gravy. Orders are messed up 50% of the time, and that is ordering in person. Modified orders over the phone results in certain tragedy. You’ll get a better outcome if you make an order in person outside of busy hours.

Went here yesterday for my period craving meal I’ve been getting for years – rippa box with pops instead of wings and a Pepsi max & a pineapple fritter, simple right? Apparently not. I waited at the drive thru box for ages and then concluded it must have been broken so drove through to the window. The staff were chatting amongst themselves, and as I was trying to place my order the lady kept turning away from me and then making me repeat myself, getting my order wrong over and over. Eventually she got it right and I waited quite a while for my food. As she was passed the bag, she looked down at it as if she thought to check it was right but didn’t, then handed it to me. As soon as I drove away I realised it was wrong and had to go round and wait again. I was experiencing severe pain and was getting frustrated because the service was not it. Sorry only works so many times. Please work on your customer service. Also there was plastic in my food.
Wow this establishment needs some major renovations and possibly new management. We came in for lunch and at first impression we were shocked. Food & rubbish all over the floor, every single table was filthy we had to actually ask someone to come wipe the table down so we could sit and eat. The drink fridges were locked so I’m assuming they have high theft still not a great look. Also there was a young gentleman sprawled out asleep in their dining room taking up 3 tables… he was there before and after we left (ate for about 20-30 minutes) again must be normal for the area but a very bad look as staff walked past him multiple times and did not bat an eye. I think the worst of it was that the whole place was a sauna, NO AIRCON!? in QLD that’s crazy. We were sitting there eating hot chicken and sweating like crazy. No outside seating to avoid the hot mess inside. Then the toilets were filthy aswell, no surprise. Toilet seat was discoloured and peeling, I’m sure there supposed to be changed but this one looks as though it’s been used since the place open. $10 at Bunnings and an easy fix I guess management doesn’t care enough to take care of this place. Also one toilet for the whole restaurant, I don’t understand how this place hasn’t been shut down for health & safety violations. I will note the food and staff were lovely however the experience was completely killed by the atmosphere and condition of this restaurant. This place needs some major improvements ASAP, I honestly would’ve asked for a refund had the line not been so long. Very disappointing.
Do you like to be cheated? I came in and ordered the quarter chicken and chips lunch deal for $5 as advertised at the front, but charged $9 for it. When I pointed out the advertised price then gave me it for $5. I asked why they charged $9 when the stated price is $5. The staff told me that is was what management told them to (overcharge) for it. It was no mistake. The staff member agreed it was a cheat.
There were so little chips I asked for the chips according to the advertisement, and then waited.
Overall the tables, floor and toilets dirty as shown in photos.
There was no paper towel in the bathroom and clearly it had not just run out as the bin was empty. Given what customers see and experience in the Front with shortcuts and ‘cheats’, I wonder what goes on in the food prep area where there seems to be a lot of shouting happening.
the worst red rooster. no one came to the speaker box. waited until i figured it could’ve been broken so i drove up to the window. was greeted by the rudest indian lady, she didn’t apologise but rather said “what do you want”. get your workers straight before someone sets them straight. shame on the managers for letting this happen. what a disgrace ??♀️
What is this, I ordered two boxes a bbq bacon box and a pickle box and both pieces of chicken look like this? The bacon was the hardest piece of bacon I’ve ever eaten in my life, next to no pickles on the pickle burger to? I ordered from here a while ago and I never received part of my order I left a complaint and nobody got back to me, I had red rooster from forest lake and it was really nice, so it’s not red rooster it’s the restaurant.
