5 Replies to Tesco Extra Walkden UK: The Largest Tesco in The Country
Generally has some version of everything you could need but not a lot of variety in options. Can get quite busy with long lines but they’re managed generally well and can get good deals notably on cereal, fruit and other essentials
A local and good supermarket. Or so I thought until I recieved a £40 fine for parking in the carpark. Admittedly I parked in child and parent space, next to 5 other empty child parent spaces. Why? Because with torn ligaments in my knees I couldn’t walk very far and it was close to the entrance. I would have parked in disabled but they were too far away and I don’t have a disabled badge. So I paid the price for a one off parking. They knew I was limping and struggling because the letter even implied I should get myself a disabled badge. No, torn ligaments does not qualify for that Tesco carpark. So I’m peed right off to say the least. Money grabbing carpark team, managed by some fat cat in Essex I expect. They have no idea how much people struggle financially and well with just everyday life. For goodness sake, those struggling always get the proverbial flung at them. So that’s less food on the table for my family this week. Thanks for being so understanding Tesco. Next time your manager tells me that all the trolleys were nicked I won’t bother reporting it to your head office to get you some more! I will just shop elsewhere like everyone else. Oh and parking watchdogs, did you watch me sitting in my car crying 2 days before because the other spaces were a killer for me to walk to? You know you did ?
We always shop here and the staff in this store are so helpful and friendly – I think they do a sterling job. The produce is nice and fresh and we can generally get most of the items that we need. Good all round store and a nice place to shop.
I was at tesco narborough Road leicester yesterday and a lady called lynn was more than helpful..she went over and above her role in helping me..despite obviously having issues I think with her poorly feet..Lynn is a asset to any supermarket or employer…so a BIG THANK YOU LYNN. ? ?
My partner (29) and I (32) go shopping and get a small wine bottle. My partner tries to pay and they request ID. She does not have it with her so I show mine and intent to pay. They don’t allow since ‘they saw me with her (again, 29)’. I ask if I can come later and buy it alone and they say no since ‘they’ve already saw me with her’.
What is this? so I’ll never be able to buy it since they remember me with her? What a joke… You need to feel sorry for them and their IQ.
