5 Replies to The 2 Biggest Shopping Centres in Burnie
It was very hard to find the entrance, being dropped off by buses arranged by a cruise ship. The venue was charming and included a great selection of businesses. Managed to find a couple of bargains. The coffee was good and people very friendly. Enjoyed my short stay, great to support such a lovely community.
Talented musician playing on the street. Were welcomed by such friendly people. Sushi shop was impressive. Supermarket had Rice Milk my mum required & more bottles of water. Make sure you check closest entrance though.
Chinese Massage centre was the main reason for the visit. Great helpful staff, very attentive and happy with the results for a sore shoulder. Prices are more than fair.
Has pretty much everything t hang I need one place could do with a upgrade though
It’s not a plaza it’s a parking garage with a K-Mart under.
~15 tenancies, half are vacant or shut, no food court, no entertainment venues, and the tenancy footprints are utterly baffling – Coles feels like a clown car, but you could hold the next Burnie Show in the pharmacy. The range of retailers is confusing – almost as confusing as the parking fee structure, but nowhere near as confusing as not having an automatic 2hrs free parking in a centre that has very little to entice shoppers anyway.
Actually paying for your parking is a game devised by Jigsaw: only some retailers print validation codes on your receipt, the ones that don’t never ask if you need your ticket validated, and there’s no list so you have to guess 🙂 the main payment machines have smashed screens & dodgy card readers, the early bird validation doesn’t work half the time, and the machine at the only exit won’t read your card or phone and doesn’t take notes. No worries! Let’s hold everyone up for 10 mins while Carepark directs you through paying via *bank transfer*
The profit this place must make off parking fees alone makes the continued run-down feel of the centre, dodgy parking machines, and disrespect toward its users inexcusable.
