1 star is generous and that’s only because 0 isn’t an option.. My friend was admitted to ASH and the way she has been treated is absolutely DISGRACEFUL a stray dog gets treated better in what universe do you quantine someone and just leave them there in a windowless room with no way to call for help WHERES THE DUTY OF CARE. You shouldn’t have to ring the switchboard and ask for the ward your on to say hey I need help here And wait another 2hrs for help to arrive And when you complain it’s sorry we’re short staffed NOT MY PROBLEM. Where’s the empathy and duty of care ???

The whole experience with maternity, from pre care through the birth and follow up support has been amazing. The staff all seem to genuinely care on a personal level about everyone in their care, all of the time, even when the ward is busy. The support was excellent, staff provided ongoing reassurance and advice, food and facilities were nice, and partner was able to board in the room. The outcome for my baby was completely positive. Thanks to everyone in the mat ward!!

All staff super friendly and helpful. Can’t exactly say I would “recommend” a stay at a hospital but when the need arises you know you’re in good hands.

Could not fault the Emergency Dept, from the Triage nurse, Xray technician, Orderly and Doctor, they were so helpful and caring. Thank you to you all!

Great staff; pharmacy staff are extremely helpful with regards to locating and/or ordering specific medications, and the other staff give great recommendations for perfumes, skincare, etc. AfterPay now available in store, which is very convenient. Overall, good service.

General store staff are lovely, however the Pharmacist is arrogant, beyond rude, and completely apathetic, and will go out of his way to create delays and significant extra financial costs for people trying to fill scripts. They also say they are continuously low on stock in the Pharmacy section. Any other Pharmacist in town is better and will treat patients with respect and empathy.

Best pharmacy in town especially for prescriptions..no extra intrusive questions when asking for over the counter medications.. Costumer service is great & staff members all get along so no tension in store (I have experienced this at other stores).. Price’s are great & PBS scripts are back to 5.80 which others didn’t put back down.. Great products great shopping experience

Planning to Visit an Australian General Practitioner? Here’s What You Should Consider!

When visiting a general practitioner (GP) in Australia, there are several things you should consider to ensure you receive the best care and treatment. GPs play a crucial role in the healthcare system, providing primary care and managing a wide range of medical conditions. Here are some important factors to keep in mind:

  • Choosing the right GP: It is essential to find a GP that suits your needs and preferences. Consider factors such as location, opening hours, gender, and any specific expertise or languages spoken by the GP. You may also want to ask for recommendations from friends, family, or healthcare professionals.
  • Appointment scheduling: Most GPs in Australia operate on an appointment-based system, so it is important to call ahead and schedule a visit. Ensure you provide accurate information about your symptoms or reason for the visit so that the GP can allocate an appropriate amount of time for your consultation.
  • Medical history and records: Prepare any relevant medical history or records that you have before your GP visit. This includes information about allergies, previous diagnoses, medications, and any treatment plans or specialist referrals you may have. Sharing this information with your GP can help them make more informed decisions about your care.
  • Communication and trust: Open and honest communication with your GP is crucial for receiving quality care. Be prepared to discuss your symptoms, concerns, or any questions you may have. A good GP will listen attentively, provide clear explanations, and involve you in decision-making about your treatment. Trust is an essential element of a successful doctor-patient relationship, so feel free to voice any doubts or seek a second opinion if needed.
  • Continuity of care: Building a long-term relationship with a GP offers many benefits. It allows your GP to have a better understanding of your medical history, preferences, and overall health. Regular check-ups and preventive care can also be more effectively managed by a GP who knows your health background.
  • Payment and healthcare coverage: In Australia, most GP visits are bulk-billed, meaning they are fully covered by Medicare (the publicly funded healthcare system). However, some GPs may charge a fee, especially if they are in private practice or offer additional services. Make sure to inquire about any costs or billing arrangements before your visit.

  1. Dr Barnes is a wonderful GP, listens to my needs and is considerate in response and treatment planning.
I am very happy with the clinic and friendly staff, it is clean and tidy and easily accessible.

  2. Initial appointment. Couldn’t have been nicer. Good sense of humor. Didn’t feel like I was being hurried out the door. Received clear instructions on how payment was going to work. Happy to be a client/patient at this clinic.

  3. Very welcoming staff at the front desk. They fitted me in at short notice, and the lady doctor I saw treated me with respect and great care. Highly recommended this medical practice.
