Really cool place. This is more than your average “antiques”or “salvage” place. Amazingly well organized with tons of still very useful stuff.

We decided to stop in for our first time after visiting the nearby Farmers Market. The place is incredible! We spent almost two hours walking around the place. The staff are very friendly and we even met Maple the cat. Whether you are looking for an antique piece of furniture, a nostalgic item or larger items such as wood beams, they seem to have it all.

This place is AWESOME! If you are looking for refurbished building materials, vintage door knobs, hinges, moldings look no further they have it and then some. Let’s talk about their selection of exotic woods everything from Pine to Mohogany to Cherry to Maple and the list goes on. I am in awe every time I go and find something that I didn’t see the last time. They have all types of fasteners from screws to nails to pins the amount of stuff is mind blowing. If you are looking for vintage records, posters, memorabilia for yesteryear it’s there. Go there and look what at all they have I bet you will leave with something.

I’ve never visited Eco Relics before and this place is incredible! We probably walked around for over an hour and found so many beautiful items! I took photos of items we are still interested in too. I recommend coming in and taking a look for sure

Absolutely love this place. Many rows of repurposed goods. I went there looking for a door. Working on a project at my home and needed a door with particular measurements. It took a little bit of time and looking to find the door that suited my needs best, but it was well worth it.

They have many items in this warehouse that caught my fancy. Everything from antique bottles of all sizes, reclaimed wood, tile, flooring (new and reclaimed), to antique bathtubs. There is a good selection of armoires and old sewing machines. Let me not forget to mention that they have door knobs and hinges galore.

There is an amazing wood shop there where they make various wood pieces and wood furniture.

This is a wonderful place to go but plan on spending a little time here especially if you are simply browsing. You can take hours to look at all the items they have in the warehouse. It is a great place for generating ideas for projects or completing a project or simply going down memory lane (that’s for us baby boomers).

Not only a pleasant one but a relaxing shopping experience today at Sugar Bear. Holiday cheer filled the aisle of various booths displaying many antiques and other collectibles throughout the store. The employees are caring, helpful, kind and professional. The aisles are very spacious to walk and the individual sellers booths are neatly organized. The clean and comfy bathrooms are conveniently located in the back of the store. Parking is located on the property. I usually have something in mind when I visit and luckily I found what I was looking for…And more! Holiday sales have begun and what a perfect time to stop in and shop for those unique and wonderful gifts for your loved ones. But don’t forget about YOU! I purchased an adorable Angel holding a cardinal, wooden carved elephant and a ladies jacket to donate as a gift. The holiday spirit is amongst us and what a wonderful time of the year to visit Sugar Bear too!

The staff here was very nice and chatty. The store is organized and I love how all the little booths tend to have a theme to them. It was cool seeing brands that I love from years before I was born. I was a little disappointed to see a couple of “blackface” items being sold, but at least most of the store appealed to me. I would definitely like to revisit.

This is a wonder filled place of days gone by. Yet still offers up unique arts pieces for your home or as a gift. I easily spend 3 hrs! Clean bathrooms, lock up your purse for security in thier cabinets with key and a great place to bring out of town guests. Walk through time looking at so many things!

Love the idea of not carrying my handbag while shopping. They have lockers to keep your handbag safe while you can put your finds at the desk until you pay. A very unique antique store with friendly staff. We will be going back.

I absolutely love Sugar Bear Antiques Mall! Me and my husband go to Sugar Bears on a regular basis and most always find some treasures! Amazing place to shop for unique aaand affordable items! Not only are you supporting Sugar Bears, which is a small local business, you are also supporting all of the small local businesses inside as well. All of the booths are rented by individuals and their small business so what’s not to love when you’re supporting your community❣️

Antique Store in Jacksonville FL: Do’s and Don’ts Every Shopper Should Know

When shopping at an antique store, it is important to follow certain rules and etiquettes to have a pleasant and respectful shopping experience. Here are some do’s and don’ts to keep in mind:

  • Do:
  • Respect the store’s hours and policies: Make sure you know the opening and closing times of the store, as well as any specific policies they may have regarding browsing, touching items, or taking photographs.
  • Ask for assistance: If you need help or have questions about an item, don’t hesitate to ask an employee or the store owner. They are usually knowledgeable about their inventory and can provide valuable information.
  • Handle items with care: If allowed by the store, you can inspect items up close, but always do so gently and with clean hands. Avoid mishandling or dropping anything, as some antiques can be fragile or valuable.
  • Negotiate respectfully: It is common in antique stores to negotiate prices, but do so in a polite and respectful manner. Don’t make lowball offers or use aggressive tactics. Remember, the seller wants a fair price for their items.
  • Have reasonable expectations: Antique stores can vary greatly in terms of pricing, quality, and selection. Understand that not every item will be a rare or valuable find, and be prepared to browse through different pieces before finding something that speaks to you.
  • Don’t:
  • Take photographs without permission: Some stores may have policies against taking photographs, so always ask for permission before snapping pictures. This etiquette shows respect for the store and its owners.
  • Open closed cabinets or drawers: Unless explicitly invited to do so, avoid opening closed cabinets, drawers, or display cases. Items inside may be delicate or confidential, and the store owner may prefer to handle them themselves.
  • Overstay your welcome: While it’s fine to spend some time browsing, try not to linger for an extended period. This allows other customers to have their turn and prevents the store from feeling overcrowded.
  • Disrupt the displays: Avoid moving or rearranging items on display unless instructed to do so by the store owner. The displays are often carefully curated for aesthetic purposes, and changing them may cause confusion or damage.
  • Make excessive demands: Remember that antique stores are businesses run by individuals, so it is important to be courteous and understanding. Making excessive demands or treating employees disrespectfully is never acceptable.

  1. Dropped by shopping for my wife’s birthday.
Lots and lots of cool stuff in here. But be sure to check pricing. Some items were priced three times more than you can find on line.

  2. A gem of a place. An incredible inventory of items that will have you browsing for hours. I’ve bought several pieces over the years and love going back every time. Their cafe has delicious food and desserts. Looking forward to my next visit.

  3. Having been both a vendor and a buyer at Avonlea, I can attest to the fun you’ll have when you visit! Definitely shop half of the mall, break for lunch at the lovely little restaurant they have inside, and then do the other half! A wide variety of vintage, antique and modern will fit the bill for any shopper!

  4. My first visit to Avonlea was a fun experience while viewing many great vendor booths. The interior of the store was much larger then I expected and was filled with beautiful antiques and other pieces of art, books, etc. Special shoutout goes to Sam & Susan whom helped me while making my final purchases from Jesabel Home. Staff was very friendly and professional. Looking forward to my future visits!
