Love going here to get gifts for my parents. Just have a sharp eye because some things that appear to be antiques really are not.

Great place to walk around stoned. Found an old Polaroid camera that works perfectly. Attached is a photo taken on Kodak ColorPlus 200, 35mm. Love how their building looks.

This was my first time visiting a vintage market, and I was truly amazed by the variety of interesting items I came across!

Every booth had its own distinct charm, and while there were no pushy shopkeepers, they did leave their contact information for inquiries. From cups, globes, and rugs to old film rolls, lamps, artwork, books, and countless other decorative pieces, the selection was eclectic and captivating.

Though some of the prices were a bit on the higher side for my budget, I have to admit that the experience was eye-opening even if it was just for browsing.

They also had parking spaces available right outside the entrance, which was convenient.

Overall, a wonderful place to explore and discover hidden treasures!

So this place not how it used to be before from what I have heard it has a pleasant smell and has such cool stuff there I mean for real you could get lost in this place for hours it’s just like one good find after another and very reasonably priced I’m just shocked that I have lived here in San Diego for all of these years 40-plus years and man I’ve never heard of this place. I like homco soroko Burwood and dart items the Golder and the prettier the more guilt and well I just like MCM so this is like a home away from home!. so if you got time and if you feel like having a good time immerse yourself in this place you’ll like it. Also there’s this one spot my favorite Monroe and gray it’s just easy to see and well it’s my top vape shop inside of Consignment classic

I recently had an unfortunate experience at Kurtz Street Antique Store in San Diego. The moment I walked in, I was greeted not with a welcoming smile but with an uncomfortable situation. I carried a tote bag, just like many others in the store, that served as my purse, and I was abruptly told to leave it at the front.

Although I may look younger than my age, being 30 years old, I was taken aback by the condescending attitude of the staff member who referred to me as ‘sweetie’. It seemed as if the request to leave my bag at the front was more of a judgment on my perceived age than a standard store policy.

I complied and went through the inconvenience of carrying my iPhone, notebook, and tape measure by hand. Navigating through the store was challenging, as I had to constantly juggle between my items and viewing the products on display. It was also disappointing to notice several other customers around me carrying bags of the same size, or even larger, with no objection from the staff.

Feeling perplexed, I approached the staff to discuss this inconsistency, explaining that it was difficult for me to shop without my bag. I expected understanding, perhaps even an apology. Instead, I was met with rudeness. The staff firmly refused my request and did so publicly, causing me great embarrassment and distress. I left the store, reduced to tears in the parking lot.

To me, shopping, especially in an antique store, is an adventure filled with curiosity and excitement. However, my experience at Kurtz Street Antique Store was nothing short of a nightmare. Instead of fond memories of discovering precious gems from the past, I am left with a bitter memory of the store’s unwelcoming atmosphere and disrespectful staff.

I believe in fairness and respect, two basic pillars of customer service that were unfortunately missing during my visit. I hope the store addresses these issues and treats all customers equally, without discrimination. I truly don’t want anyone else to have a similar upsetting experience.

I also remembered I brought this same bag in the previous week when shopping with my father no problems then.

Absolutely love this place. Can spend hours here. Have to always resist spending too much money. If you want to find something, anything, quirky or vintage, some booth here will have it. Everyone who works here or has a booth seems super nice and helpful. An institution.

  1. Truly amazing place to look for something cool and unique. My husband and I love exploring vintage shops and this one is our favorite one is San Diego. It is a huge space, please be prepared to spend 2+ hours here. We found something pretty fun here, and price is always nice. They are not very cheap but definitely worthy, and sometimes the deal is unbelievable if you are lucky. They also sell a lot of beautiful furnitures, I will recommend people come here to shop around if you look for some unique style furnitures.

  2. I love this place, it has a great selection of wall art, rugs, furniture from various decades, and sometimes there is room for negotiating the price down. The 1940s winged chair was $250 approximately. The Dan Bloemen painting depicting coastal California was $300 (normally his paintings go for double the price online). The lamp was in perfect condition at $125. I have also purchased furniture at Consignment Classics Home Furnishings on Hancock St. I also bought other items too from this location on Kurtz St. I only gave this location 4 stars because the last time I was here one of the employees seemed less than friendly to me. If looks could kill, I felt disrespected despite making the purchase on my mid-century bedside lamp.

  3. A couple of my favorite shops in here!

MegaInspired- has a lot of Homco Syroco and Burwood decor. Dating back to that MCM look and feel. Not to mention the prices are cheaper then a thrift store.

Monroe and Grey- brings a flare of sophistication back to the vintage style. The store not cluttered and well staged and easy flowing place to pick up you’re hard to find things.

Lisa silver lining- this place is adorably cute it has this what looks like a bell but it’s really a tea warmer that is so awesome it’s a showstopper along with many Christmas items, as you know Christmas in July.

  4. 4.6/5.0

This place is like heaven. So many booths with such a wide range of styles and vibes. No matter what you like, you’ll find something you love here. The pricing really depends on the seller, but we found most prices to be reasonably priced. Some sellers will negotiate so make sure to ask!

Found this amazing coffee table for my place at such a great price
