TERMITE INFESTED PRODUCT SOLD!! NO ACCOUNTABILITY TAKEN!! On May 1st and May 3rd I purchased BLACK VIGORO MULCH. The mulch bags were infested with TERMITES!! When we got home we placed the bags in our mulch beds (still in plastic) and within a handful of days the colony of termites took over into our soil / mulch beds!! Home Depot Manager, Home Depot Supervisor, and Old Castle Supervisor (Manufacturer) are completely useless and not taking accountability. We are out of $1400 for Termite Remediation due to TERMITE INFESTED PRODUCT SOLD ON WENDOVER ROAD. BEWARE!!

Associates rarely ask if you need assistance. On the rare occasion you do get asked, you get told they will contact someone but end up standing there waiting and forgotten. Floor associates tend to avoid eye contact with customers as well. We needed a specific key copied that the automatic machine wouldn’t recognize and went through three associates before finally getting someone to help out-keep in mind this was just another random associate who happened to walk by that we asked for help. I understand associates may be busy doing other tasks and different people work in different departments but standing and waiting for over 40 minutes to copy a key that took less than 2 minutes was ridiculous. We have to do better.

Bill in the flooring department helped me out this evening and was lovely. He was professional and very personable. He helped me find a color match to my existing carpet and order it online for installation. Edit: Carpet was installed and it’s the wrong color. The COS of the store refuses to call me back and fix the carpet. Absolute worst customer service and will not own up to their mistakes.

No one knows what they are doing here. Spoke with two reps to try to find a screw that is a half inch longer that is sold in package with a tv mount I bought from Home Depot and they tell me they don’t sell it. Zero ability by staff to help me complete my project

This store has the worst selection of fasteners I’ve ever seen. Came in looking for a 1/4-28 thread bolt, and not a single one in the store. The fasteners they do have are horribly disorganized and sparse. If you’re looking for nuts, bolts or the like, look elsewhere.

Got a thousands of reasons why you should go to the Home Depot when doing home repairs and home improvements. And without a doubt you can find your reason in one of these hours on one of these shows you one of these stores. But what I found in this store was more than assistance in finding the right color and matching pink to touch up my wall, I found a team of knowledgeable Educators who were more than friendly and courteous in helping me to get exactly the right color the first time around. No pushy salesman trying to get me to buy the most expensive, but an open minded listener who’s ears were attuned to making my project a successful experience at the price and choices within my stated budget. My hat’s off to the paint department.

Just got back from the Home Depot in Matthews, NC. I also just returned from the Lowes store as well. Night and day. No one in Home Depot offered to help, after asking for help an employee begrudgingly did assist. Gathered up what I had come for… maybe 100.00 worth of stuff and there were zero cashiers on staff…only the “attendant” for self checkout. As he stood there browsing on his phone I asked him if there were any available cashier’s. “Nope” he said. I put my items on the counter indicating that I was not buying these items at Home Depot and he looked at me and shrugged and went back to his phone. Very poor customer service all around.

Lowe’s had plenty of staff and were all asking if I needed help. Nice. I spent my money where I actually felt appreciated as a customer . No more Home Depot for me.

NEVER BUY APPLIANCES FROM HOME DEPOT unless you will install by yourself because The third company that Home Depot uses to installed appliances are horrible. They do not how to do install dishwasher plus broke pipe of my kitchen sink. After I complained to Home Depot, they did not care about damage cause for this purchase at all.

I recently had a very disappointing experience with Home Depot’s installation team. Despite requiring two visits to carry out a seemingly simple dishwasher installation, they were unable to successfully complete the job. On the first visit, they left without providing a clear explanation as to why they could not proceed with the installation.

Their second attempt was even more problematic, as they inadvertently caused a flood in my kitchen due to their inability to properly turn off the water supply. This forced me to step in and shut off the water from the main supply at the road using a water key – a task that surely should have been within their expertise.

The issues did not stop there, however. After disconnecting my old dishwasher, the installers admitted that they did not have the appropriate equipment to connect the new one to power. Their solution to this was not to procure the necessary part from a nearby store, but instead to suggest that I reschedule a new delivery appointment. This left me in the frustrating and impractical situation of being without water in my house until the new dishwasher could be installed.

This experience was far from the level of professionalism and competence I expected from Home Depot’s installers. Their lack of clear communication, coupled with their seemingly limited skill set, led to a highly inconvenient and stressful situation. I would not recommend their services based on this experience.

This is by far our favorite Home Depot in all of Charlotte! We’ve frequented several weekends since moving into our new home to where we know team members by name.

George in the lawn section is a gem – he is always so friendly and knowledgeable about the entire section and has even built a little friendship with our 16mo baby! He is a very nice gentleman.

The store manager, Tim, recently navigated us through a lawn mower exchange and was very kind and helpful throughout the process. His patience and friendliness is definitely what got him in the position he is in!

To mention a few others: Taylor and Sonya at customer service were fantastic troopers for dealing with our complicated return/exchange. Also, Ed and Thomas in the lawn section were very helpful and nice. This Home Depot has an Allstar team!

  1. This is one of the cleanest and best Home Depot’s I’ve ever been to!! Super super helpful staff all so friendly and actually helping and working. I don’t review Home Depot much but this one was really worth the time. Especially the Jamaican Lady at customer service desk!! She’s so sweet and helpful always looking out for everyone and everything. I must say the price of wire went up DRASTICALLY!!!! ?????‍♂️. Best Home Depot experience I’ve had yett seriously love this one, that and they have a super fire buffet in the corner of the same plaza!! River buffet!!! Unbelievably good and all you can eat lunch for $11!! Trust me that’s ? for how good this food was!! Great experience from this Ohioan!!

  2. Thank you to the wonderful staff you’re the best. My mother and I live on the other side of town, and we drive to this home depot even though there is a home depot 5 minutes from our homes. We enjoy the staff. Thank you to the staff for your excellent customer service and for being diligent in serving the customers. The consistency in this store is a breath of fresh air. It is very well organized, and everyone speaks and engages the customers. The staff offers to help even if you are just looking or looking confused someone will notice, and ask to assist you. If you ask a staff member for a product even if it is not their department they will stop what they are doing, and instead of pointing they will take you where you need to be, and if they are not able to find what you are looking for they will reach out for help. and as a consumer in these days, and times it feels good to be welcomed when you come into an establishment and the patience of the staff. Keep up the great work thank you very much

  3. KJ provided excellent customer service. Came in looking for an item in a departure that he was not familiar with but he took the extra time to make sure we were able to get everything we needed and he went above and beyond to ensure that we were happy with the service. He could’ve easily said “this isn’t my department “ and kept it moving but he called Who was needed, got the information and helped us out. I really appreciated it too because he was the only one in the area.

  4. Thank you for the cute succulant plants. Love coming here to see what’s on clearance. Basically I’m coming to save all the plants that are withering away. Keep putting them on sale for me. They eventually make great gifts.

  5. Yesterday I had to make some purchases for my office and warehouse. I usually do not have any issues since I know where most things are and am an independent shopper. BUT…..Yesterday I needed some chain lengths cut. I needed 5 different lengths cut from the plastic chain. Went to aisle 13 found what I needed then went and found an associate on the next aisle. She said she couldn’t cut it since she wasn’t strong enough to cut it. So she went over the speaker system and asked for an associate in the hardware department to come help. I waited 15 minutes and then went back to her. She announced it 1 more time and I waited 15 more minutes. Now that I have waited 30 minutes I stood there and called the store and explained that I was standing in front of the chains and have been waiting for 30 minutes and still have not gotten any help. The young lady did the same thing as the other and announced over the store that a customer needed help in hardware with cutting chains. 15 more minutes passed and by now I am very upset. I walked up to customer service and asked for a manager. In the process of walking up and back I noticed 2 associates standing 1 aisle over from where I was on the phone and chit chatting with each other. The young lady named Ms. S at customer service said the manager would be right with me. I told her well tell him/her to meet me on aisle 13 where I needed the help. As I walked back up, I was met by Ray. He was one of the managers on duty. I asked if he heard the announcement of a customer needing help. He said yes. Well I explained that I had at this point been waiting for well over 45 minutes for that help. I also explained even though Home Depot has better prices in my opinion than the competition, they had way better customer service. I also explained that he had associates just standing around. He said well did you ask one of them to help you. I said no, I had already asked someone twice. He proceeded to cut my chain and was very helpful. I know Home Depot is a very big store and he can’t be in all places at once but because of the understaffed situation, it makes customers like me want to shop else where.
Thank you Ray. You are the only reason I did not give this review 1 star.
A word of advice to upper management…try and get some real help in your store. I really don’t like the prices at your competition but I would rather pay a little extra to have someone there to help me than waste over an hour of my time.
