in the last weekLocks people out before 8pm but checks people out well after 8pm. Of course the X2 was over 40 minutes late so I arrived at 7:58 instead of 7:30 and even though I expressed I only needed one single thing the lady said she didn’t care and locked the door on my face and two other women who arrived as I did. They’re still checking people out at 8:10pm at least lock the door at 8pm if it’s of no consequence. Who closes so early anyway! Won’t ever return, I’ll take just as many busses to a better dollar tree, not that it matters to them since they are constantly out of stock of everything! They need a competing dollar tree so they actually have things past restock day.a month agoI’m not a bigger dollar store shopper but when I do go, it’s usually for random things. This store always has what I’m looking for, no matter how random.I will also say that the cashiers are rather pleasant given the traffic that they get.
6 months agoIf I can give this store a negative star rating I would. My sister has been missing for weeks and is an employee there. Myself and other family members have visited the store asking for info. and if she’s been working. The response we got from the General Manager was “I’m too busy to check.” and when I called again the GM says she wasn’t there and wouldn’t provide her name as the manager. It’s clear that they do not care about their emoloyees and are super ghetto and disrespectful!!! As a whole this location has the worst management and are the most disrespectful, unhelpful service interaction you will ever receive in the city of DC! Expect to get cussed out and stand in a 30+ min line to check out. This store is the absolute worst! Sorry for anybody who shops here.10 months agoWhere is corporate?? This store is disgusting… just because the store is in this location doesn’t mean management has the right to neglect their stores. This affects everyone as a whole. a month agoShelves always empty freezers always empty poor management empty boxes sitting around store but the shelves are empty ..walked in one day employee with bats on her eyes (lashes) followed me around a empty store ..need to pay attention to the shelves being stocked up for the shoppers and get cameras so the shoppers won’t feel like they are being targeted or stalked in a dollar store smh we need to do better…..2 months agoI go to this location often it’s convenient, The store is most of the time stacked pretty good, They normally have whatever it is im going for my only issue is it’s never enough registers open, It’s always one cashier with the light off saying the line closed and it’s one other cashier that’s open with a really long line and sometimes i end up walking out because the line is long and moving extremely slow…a year agoBe careful with what you consume from this store. I bought a m&m chocolate candy there yesterday and it was expired. The expiration date is 01/2020 ?I love dollar trees that’s why I’m extremely disappointed 🙁 Make sure you check the expiration date before buying any food from there.
7 months agoIam only giving 1 star but they need a 0. Everytime you go to the store they have 1 nasty cashier. The line is always down the isle. The manager watching the line getting long but he too busy putting products back instead of helping the customer’s. I guess those things are more important than getting the money that keeps the store open and pays his salary. Customer’s walking out because you have to wait so long to check out. And don’t even look for decent customer service. It’s no where to be found.I wish I didn’t have to go to this store but they are sometimes stocked with items I need.8 months agoI am a grown WORKING woman, do not ask me to put my bags to the side by the front entrance with no tickets or staff to monitor my items anyone can just grab my bags like come on get a good system going on and then it won’t be a problem but don’t ask me to do something yall just came up with that day because the young kids keep stealing. Staff are BARELY at the register I had to knock on the office door one time after waiting in line 6 minutes to get a cashier because they were understaffed with no one at any of the registers. The shelves look a mess and it’s rarely stocked. The young people they have working their are rude,one guy thought he was slick and scanned an item multiple times and when I said something he tried to act like it was a mistake because I was on the phone I guess he thought I wasn’t paying attention. ALWAYS CHECK YOUR RECEIPTS and expiration dates. Michigan ave NE is my go to,I can’t deal with this.

Shelves were very messy with many boxes stacked in the aisles. They may have just received a shipment or something. Also shopping carts loaded with things to put back on shelves. Lines were long and several customers were unfriendly. Parking lot is terrible. The one good thing is that the staff seems very friendly and helpful. Good place to get helium balloons for kids parties.
I went for specific FOOD items and found them plentiful, (6) toaster waffles and (6)jimmy dean sausage links the cheapest and fastest breakfast in town !!!! , 2 minutes Staff pleasant, lines moved fast. Ran out of helium for the Valentine’s balloons and the false flowers for those late arrangements.
I came here because it was one of the ones that’s open until 9 they don’t have a lot of stuff here they have your regular Dollar tree items seasonal stuff some seasonal stuff I must say it’s definitely an OG Dollar tree they were trying to rush me out at 9 but I don’t blame them they probably been on their feet.
Gotta love the dollar tree. It’s good to have store that has the basic essentials of everyday life.
Normally it is packed in there and not enough cashier’s, but today was an good day and 2 cashier’s ?
