3 years agoI do love to shop at this target store and have a great shopping experience on every occasion I’ve visited! Aisles are clean and shelves are stocked, well laid out and organised. Fashion, housewares, Groceries, Starbucks. Great range of goods. I find there’s Not a huge variety in terms of Brands. But they do carry the major Brands of products and their own. Affordable. Surprisingly the cashier was very friendly, kindly asked my forgiveness as he had to call someone over to check my ID because he was underage and was not able to sell alcohol3 years agoI would sleep here all day at the beauty supplies section! So many varieties, yet affordable too! Great customer care!

a week agoTarget in DC is deplorable-should close it’s doors. No shopping carts. No one working in the store. And to make matters worse, half the items in the store are under lock and key-with 0 personnel to help. What a joke!4 months agoThis is one of the best Targets in the DMV. It is always stocked and staff is always working on the floor. Additionally, they have accessible ALL-GENDER bathrooms. This is one of my favorite Targets. Target is such a great place! Thanks Cleveland Park staff.3 months agoNo one is ever at the checkout counter to help. Nearly every time I go here, either my self check-out machine or someone else’s machine malfunctions halfway through, and you have to go track down one of the employees to reset it. When that happens you’re lucky if the staff member doesn’t roll their eyes at you or mutter something under their breath. Target needs to have someone assigned to the counter or at the very least, connect the check-out machines to staff pagers.4 years agoSmall but fairly well provisioned food section, with both snack foods and some home groceries, heavy on the convenience foods. Prices are high but better than other stores in the area. Conveniently open until 11 p.m. on Saturdays, in an area where other stores close at 9 or 10, but it closes earlier on other days of the week. Free parking with store validation.Downside: Service was sparse and heavily dependent on self-service—there were no employees on the floor helping customers, and of three employees around the checkout counter, only one was operating a register, quite lackadaisically.
2 months agoAmazing target location, with super convenient target pick up and surrounded by amazing stores like a Thai food place, cold stones, and a nail salon. The perfect target experience for the city.

If I could give 0 I would… the product in the baby section is so unorganized to the point I picked up a box of pull ups that were scattered everywhere; I went to the register and the manager who is skinny, tall, with twist or old braids, and brown skin not sure of her name told me that even though the section looks a mess and she agreed it was all in the wrong section! She still did not take or reduce the price. This is exactly why I chose to shop further out of Dc because managers/ people do not understand customer satisfaction and that it is not our fault that the workers misplace items.
Good morning I’m writing this review on behalf of Johnathan (maybe misspelling) in the electronic department! On 2 separate incidents I needed help that may have been above his job description and he had no hesitation to help me out! He recommended both inexpensive and expensive items. I’ve witnessed him also have excellent customer service to every guest that walked up the the counter when I was there. He helped everyone with ease and grace and also quickly but not rushed.
This is the most unorganized, run down Target in the US. Nothing is stocked correctly. They are always out of items and cannot stock the right items. All the medicine is locked up. Had trouble getting a gift card and no one could help me. The self checkout froze and the Target team members did not know what to do. Worthless help. Everything at the Columbia Heights Target is 15% higher than other Targets in the area. How dare you prey on people that live here. We make less and have to spend more. I only go here when I absolutely need something, otherwise stay away from the worst Target in the US.
Oftentimes, the people make the experience. That was the case in my first trip to this Target location.
In reading other reviewers’ displeasure with empty shelves, I can say I did notice that too, but they had all of the necessities that we needed. We had also placed an online order for several items, and the order was complete, ready, and organized.
When I needed assistance while shopping, the gentlemen working in the beer section ably answered my questions.
And Felicia at customer service? She was amazing. Her welcoming charm and effective service really made our stop a great one.
having a target nearby in the heart of the city is so convenient. i shop here often and select the shipt option to get things delivered, or pickup to get my item quickly. returns are really easy if i end up changing my mind.
