Wholesale meat market with tons of cuts and selection. Everything appears to be frozen. Don’t expect organic or high end selections, but the quality is supposed to be good. It’s not for the squeamish since there are organs and bones very visible throughout the store. No blood or odors though, so it’s just rough around the edges.

The prices are great and they have way more selection than any regular store.

I took two stars off because the lines were very long and the cashiers were slow. When I got to the front, both registers had customers dallying at the register, putting back produce (those big brown tubers) and slowing everything down, and my own cashier was very slow. Even the other workers, not the cashiers, were telling them to speed it up. I may just stick to Afrik in the future, nearby.

The Florida Ave. Market is recently referred to as Union Market by everyone moving into the city. The area has changed and there’s more change coming to the area. Massive construction with mixed use residential, commercial, restaurant and entertainment have arrived. Rumors going around that this will be part of the NoMa or Capitol Hill extended naming. The changes are massive and very nice!

Very great stuff !!! Very crowded, a little crammed tho but you’ll get some great finds. It’s good for visitors but more of a locally-geared place. Genuine flea market

Second hand clothes, mostly for young men and women. Apparently they are here every Sunday . We came here in the morning and it’s very busy and crowded

Great place for curated vintage clothing, art, glassware, and jewelry. It is kind of far out there in Georgetown and a bit of a pain to get to, but I’d definitely say it’s worth it to check out. Be aware on hot days, it’s mostly in direct sunlight and can get really hot in the parking lot

An organized flea market where you can find unique and ancient jewelries, coins, and clothes. Most of the venders there are friendly and patient. You can also find a lot of amazing and talented artists with their artworks/paints there for sale. It is worth to visit if you are happen to be in DC on Sunday.

The Georgetown Flea Market is a great Sunday activity for friends and family.

There are some vendors who are there regularly and some who show up every so often.

There’s a lot of fun clothing, accessories, decor, and miscellaneous things.

I highly recommend going at least once a month to see what vendors have to offer!

How to Shop Smart at Flea Market Washington DC: A Quick Tutorial

If you’re new to shopping at flea markets, it can be overwhelming to navigate through the vast array of items. However, with a few guidelines in mind, you can make the most out of your flea market experience and find some unique treasures.

Here are some tips to help you shop at a flea market:

  • Arrive early: Many vendors set up their booths early in the morning, so arriving early gives you the first pick of items and allows you to explore without the crowds.
  • Bring cash: Most vendors at flea markets prefer cash, so make sure to bring enough in small bills. Some larger flea markets may have ATMs available, but it’s always handy to have cash on hand.
  • Wear comfortable shoes: Flea markets can be large with lots of walking involved, so wearing comfortable shoes is essential to keep you going all day.
  • Have a plan or wishlist: If you’re searching for specific items, it’s helpful to have a plan or wishlist in mind. This way, you can focus on the vendors that may carry what you’re looking for.
  • Be prepared to bargain: Often, vendors at flea markets are open to negotiation, so don’t be afraid to haggle on the price. However, remember to be polite and respectful when bargaining.
  • Inspect items thoroughly: Since most items at flea markets are pre-owned, it’s essential to inspect them carefully before making a purchase. Check for any damages or defects and ensure they are in working condition.
  • Try before you buy: If you’re purchasing clothing or accessories, try them on or test them out if possible. This will prevent any disappointment or returns later on.
  • Bring a tote bag or cart: To carry your purchases, it’s helpful to bring a tote bag or a cart. This makes it easier to carry your finds without straining your arms or back.
  • Stay hydrated and take breaks: Flea markets can be busy and tiring, so remember to stay hydrated and take breaks when needed. This will help you enjoy your shopping experience without feeling overwhelmed or exhausted.

  1. What a lovely place to hang out on a Saturday or Sunday!! Lots of artists selling their own creations, large variety of tasty and home made street food. If you want to relax for a few hours especially on sunny days it really is the perfect place. You also have the indoor market where you will have a good choice of food and a nice place for lunch. The fall season offers an amazing mix of beautiful colors making it even more agreeable to walk in the area.

  2. Eastern Market is a go to place on Saturday and Sunday on Capitol Hill. Great food, fun products, and great coffee (and a kid entrepreneur!) Just a few photos from the weekend.

  3. Great farmers market that distributes fresh, locally sourced produce. A variety of other vendors set up tents going from jewelry, to art, to clothing, to home items and gifts. The food selections contain coffees, lemonades, juices, packaged goods, etc. There’s a lot to browse & buy.
    Things you should know:
    I. PARKING
You’ll have to parallel along the neighborhood streets to shop here.
    II. SERVICE
A store that really stood out to us as unique was Icon Line Design. They had vintage Coco Chanel buttons revived into a unique set of earrings. One of a kind. Still authentic Chanel.
    III. QUALITY
Each stand is different but produce-wise all is fresh
    IV. CAPACITY
Busy on the weekends. The crowd dies down after 1pm in the summers due to the heat

  4. Small little farmers market but it’s packed with tons of vendors with fresh fruits and veggies. There are some other things such as meat and cheese I believe but as a vegan, I didn’t look closely at them.

The washrooms here are great too if you’re at the farmers market.

Take a peek here if you’re in the area.

    5/5.
