First Visited on 12/7/2022This supermarket is different from many others; it has wide open frontage. Other than that, the store layout is similar to almost all Woolworths, with vegetables displayed at waist level on the right side of the store, frozen food on the left, and dairy and chilled products at rear end.
Overall, it is a clean and bright store.
Although I am technologically savvy, I still like to go through the staffed checkout. My wife is in queue, while I stand at the front end of the counter, ready to help in packing. The staff was chatty when serving the customer in front of my wife. However, my wife receives not even a Hello from the same staff. I wonder she suffers from split personality disorder.
After my wife has paid for the groceries, there is not a word of “thank you” or “have a nice day” from the staff. I can stand no more, and ask rather cheekily, “have you lost your smile today?”
She does not expect this and is taken aback. She gives me a big grin. I have marked down the rating for such service, and I hope the management take note of this to provide better training, and improve PR. After all, Coles is at the other end of the shopping centre.

Staff fulfilling online orders aren’t considerate of in-store shoppers.a month agoVery efficient staff.Very welcoming.We enjoyed Yada’s King Prawn Stir fry and Coconut Seafood. I understand they have their job to do but the pushyness and pure lack of respect is sad.

Jade who works in click and collect has got to be the nicest employee I’ve met when I collect my groceries. She always has a smile on her face and happy to help out. However, on occasion have had to call the store and alot of the times they don’t answer. “So much stuff” Great selection of food. you’ve going be surprised. This place is heaven for me. I could literally be here. I just want it all day. They’ve got so much stuff even if you don’t end up buying anything. It’s worth just going in there because it’s like a museum in a sense.
Woolworths is never laid out the same as another Woolworths in another town or suburb so I had to ask to find the items I needed. The staff were efficient and courteous in helping me even though I was interrupting them doing their work. Their hot food section had delicious chicken nuggets made from real chicken breast meat..delicious..
Woolworths in Cairns offers a standard supermarket experience. The store has a wide selection of groceries, fresh produce, and household items. The layout is organized and easy to navigate.
