The shopping is fine lots of selections to choose from and they have a great food court. But be careful as there was a shooting here a while back. There is a security presence that they didn’t have before. The mall posts that concealed carry is prohibited but I’ll just say be prepared anyway. Enjoy the mall!

Nice spacious mall to do your shopping in. Plenty of stores inside with a food court. They also have a play area for your kids. There has been some trouble there recently. So stay aware of your surroundings while inside. Lots of security inside for any problems.

I went there at 730 I know what I wanted from two different stores. Knowing I had plenty of time because the mall closes at 9. So I spent about 15 minutes in the first store. then I heard an announcement over the loud speaker that the mall was closing at 8pm. So I didn’t get to go to the other store because by the time I got there they weren’t allowing people in. So I guess it doesn’t help to check what time the mall closes because they just close when they want.

I had a very bad experience with the security from the mall very disrespectful and mad, I am not from there I am from Texas and as I was passing by Kentucky I stoped early before mall opening hours, shopping from and delivering to the mall stores and this security came up to us and told us that we cannot park here until mall opens doors. I got a picture of the security guard but not sharing it, but definitely thinking twice in stoping in this place, or if I stop and I get approached by this security mall wannabe cop I will treat him the way he treats to see if he tolerates disrespectfulness.

I have a feeling that the parking lot hasn’t been repainted since 1997… It honestly makes parking feel like the wild west; as long as your parked facing somewhat east or west you should be hopefully okay? No guarantees though. Really thought it would get repainted after Capitol Grille opened, but here we are, nearly a year later and there are only the ghostly shadows of what once were parking lines

I’ve been going here since I was a young girl and this place has definitely come up! I haven’t visited in a few years since moving but when I went back there was so many people there. It definitely feels like they added in a lot of stores people want to go to and it’s serving the public well. Good job!

Not much to do here but high end shopping. Great if you have money I suppose. Everything looks well maintained but their restrooms. Several stall doors don’t lock.

  1. Mall St. Matthews is a great place to shop, eat, and be entertained. It has a wide variety of stores, including high-end retailers and local boutiques. There are also several restaurants, a movie theater, and a bowling alley. The mall is clean and well-maintained, and the staff is friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend Mall St. Matthews to anyone looking for a fun and relaxing shopping experience.

  2. Good place to spend time with your friends and shop around. They have shops for everyone. It’s a nice mall and I haven’t ever really feared my safety. It is a good in between as far as nice stuff with out a ridiculous price tag.

  3. We went to the mall, mainly to eat, but it was good to shop around and see different things. We stopped at the Korean barbecue place and had lunch and pricewise. It’s very reasonable and everything taste really good. All the stores is really neat clean met this awesome lady at the American Eagle storestopped in at Bath and body Works. I was stopping in checking out the great deals and smelling the great candles and hand, soaps, body washes, etc..

  4. I never write reviews, but I am so disappointed and appalled that I’m making an exception. For years I have come to this mall, but today I went at 4:30 and was told to leave because my boyfriend is 17 and I am 18, and a “minor” has to be accompanied by someone 21 years of age, not just an adult. My boyfriend and I were just having a fun day out to go Christmas shopping. The rule has apparently been around for years, and I understand the base concept- but it’s very poorly advertised and could use some extra logic. Is being 18 not enough anymore? Either way as much as I love this mall, I couldn’t not write a review to let others know of this unfortunate and ridiculous rule. Hopefully they find a better alternative in the future.
