a year agoNoel and I was in Morgantown WV for my doctor’s appointment and we stopped at TJ Maxx to shop around and check things out.The store was semi crowded but it was clean. The staff was very sparse and only 2 registers open. They were having a few really good sells. I would go again to shop here.

They always seem to be having conversations amongst themselves, which is fine, but it comes off as rude.

TJ Maxx has changed A LOT!! I love it. There is so much to choose from now. The store is HUGE!! There was a long line but went VERY QUICKLY!! I went in to get my son a floor lamp.
Was in the store Saturday evening, 6/3, near closing time (abt 15 minutes till per the announcement); approached the cashier line to pay for a pair of shoes. There were 2 cashiers, both waiting on customers and only 1 other person in line ahead of me. Cashier at register #6 took the lady in front of me. When the “guy” at register #2 finished with his customer, he walked away – down to register #6. When the “girl” finished with her customer, they stood at her register having a conversation.
I started walking towards #6 and as I approached closer, I’m looking at them with a questioned look on my face. The female walked away followed by the male – he going back to his register. Neither of them acknowledged me in any way!
I decided I would not give this store my money. I placed the sandals on the counter at register 6 and proceeded to leave. As I passed register #2, the male said “I can help you now”. REALLY!!!!! I told him “I’ve changed my mind. You act like you don’t see me waiting in line, I’m not buying.”
As I leave, a middle aged White woman was getting in line and I said to her “they acted like they didn’t see me“.
I am not a resident of WV; I am a senior Black female; so my first thought is racial. What would be your reason/excuse for such actions? Beware people of color!!!!
This is the best location I’ve ever been to. I love how Home Goods is connected to T J Maxx. I never ever leave empty handed. They ate constantly getting nee and different items in. My only complaints are #1: Have more registers open because the line is always very long. #2: Stop asking me if I want your credit card. I see the sign. I’ll ask about it if I am interested.
Very well organized and clean! Efficient checkouts with plenty cashiers. Parking lot out front. Plenty of seasonal choices for decor. Huge selection of clothing & purses. Men’s clothing as well. Great discounts on name brands. Shoes and children selections. Jewelry and make up.
Came here for the first time with my mom as she was looking for a squeegee for her shower. The store is large and has just about a bit of everything. A lot of seasonal items, some imported candy, kitchen items and other household goods. We searched both the bathroom section as well as the kitchen section with no luck. They pretty much have everything except a squeegee.
It is a great store to kill time in and just wonder up and down the aisles looking at everything. There is surely something that will catch your eye.
The only real complaints are that the store does feel cluttered and the aisles can be congested. The checkout is in an awkward place and there is only one way into the checkout through a bit of a maze.
Overall, I’d say give this place a visit if you’re just looking to kill some time and see all the various goods they have in the store. Prices are pretty much in line with Kohls and Target.
