a week agoTJ Maxx and Marshalls have always been a good place to run in and grab discounted out of season clothes, toys, electronics, etc. I give it a four star because the selection has definitely went down. There are definitely a lot of clothes in there, but most of the clothes that are in there are duplicates and a lot of the same types of clothes. I guess if you really want to get something you have to go on a day that they have a shipment in so you can check to see if there’s something good that you want. Other than that the customer service is speedy when you’re checking out, they are on top of things in your out from the register within five minutes even if there’s a long line.2 months agoTheir Halloween decorations were amazing! The store is always kept organized and clean. I had to make a couple returns and the young lady who assisted me was very sweet.2 months agoI came to Tj maxx in Norfolk Wednesday morning looking for things for my son. They have an awesome selection and added a lot more recently! While I was looking I found a top without a price tag . A new associate by the name of Jenny , came up and asked how I was doing and if I needed help. She was very friendly and got the price of the shirt for me within mins. I then notice I lost my earring and this sweet girl got on the floor and help me look and found it !! Not everyone is caring now a days and it’s so nice to see retail workers who are happy to be at work. Thanks again Jenny !2 months agoYou can still get the Max for the minimum (ish) at TJ Maxx. Prices are relatively good for the merchandise they have. It isn’t a particularly large store. All in all, not a bad location.a month agoCashier was very friendly. Need to have more skirts and dresses. Also need a better variety of junior tops.

2 months agoLove the prices but was misled when trying to apply for a credit card with them. I’m in a better financial situation so I’ll be shopping there more frequently and decided why not try to save some money through their credit card program. My credit is okay, but not great. Cashier was pushing the credit card and I wanted to sign up. Asked if it does a hard inquiry that’ll impact my credit. Some places are able to check your credit without it showing as a hard inquiry on credit. She told me it shouldn’t affect my credit. Didn’t qualify for the credit card which is fine but now it’s showing on my credit and affected it negatively.Please inform your cashier’s with the correct information regarding your credit cards. I sincerely hope she didn’t know any better and wasn’t lying to try to get another sign up.

Location is fantastic as there’s so many things to do surrounding the store.5 months agoTara in jewelry was outstanding. We are from Tennessee and she made us feel so welcome. Will definitely be back the next trip!7 months agoI mainly shop here for the spices and home goods..however in last few years..spice selections not good at all..certain things I have purchased wasn’t on shelves..and bring back chocolate covered pastichios! Have seen n 10yrs!! Location I went to..very clean and organized! Very nice purses!! OMG! Jewelry nice too..got few mom’s day gifts…reasonable priced makeup section as well..will go back 2get other eye shadow colors…and of course see what’s n spice section.6 months agoFirst time going to this TJ Maxx. Picked up a couple of shirts and a pair of running shorts.Pros: Clean. Organized. Great Selection.
Con: No cons here.

I honestly feel that this is the best T.J. Maxx in the Virginia Beach/Norfolk area. This location is always stocked very well. The checkout line can be long but the cashiers make it move fairly quickly. I also love how they’re very diverse in their products. I’m obsessed with the African-American Santas and Christmas collection! You can NOT beat their cheap prices for high-quality products. I can never leave without buying something. I highly recommend this store!
This TJ Maxx and Homegoods joint location is absolutely huge. It used to be my favorite before the one opened in Red Mill (it’s nicer).
Still, this is a great option if you are looking for something specific and want to come and have tons of options.
They have some dry foods and kitchen wares, home decor, lamps, clothing, shoes, outdoor furniture, bathroom items, etc.
Tons and tons of decor inside – mostly nautical themed due to it being in a beach town – so if you are looking for something specific to decorate your home – you are probably going to be able to find it here!

I’m always amazed by the number of shoppers in this location. Management always does their best to have multiple cashiers open. The selection was good and well organized.
Danger! Danger! Danger! Just stepping one foot across the stores threshold, and you are sucked into the sales vortex. You can’t escape. There are fantastic Sales! Sales! Sales! All over the store. Women wear men wear, boys wear, girls wear, baby wear, you name it they got you covered. I went in to get a pair of swim trunk, before I knew it I was searching the line of clothing. Bought 2 pairs of shorts, 3 shirts. Then it hit me, the shoppers vortex was grabbing my arms, sucking me in, i was being taken over by the Shoppers Body Snatcher. I raced quickly over to my wife and discovered that she had been taken over already. Her shopping cart was being loaded as she looked at me with her smile. I knew then that I needed to GET OUT of the stores grip if I was to survive. So, I said see you later but not before seeing what you would not believe. It looked like a dog in a stroller, but I knew it was the final stage of Shoppers Guilt…check out my photos. You decide for yourself what it is. I got to run, but you, the reader, have got to sound the alarm. Their prices are a bargain, rich with deals, rack after rack. Warn the World that this store is pulling the patrons in, car after car, mothers and daughters, men and women, and even babies riding on their mothers’ hips. I love this TJ Maxx. The staff is friendly and warm. It is always organized and neat inside. It’s easy to find things. Great prices on quality items. The toddler section is kind of small though and the lines are always long!
