Pros and Cons of Shopping at Woolworth

Woolworths and traditional markets both offer different shopping experiences that cater to different needs and preferences. Here are some pros and cons to consider when choosing between the two:

Woolworth:

  • Pros:
  • – Convenience: Woolworths stores are typically located in easily accessible areas, making it convenient for shoppers to visit.
  • – Wide variety: Woolworths offers a wide range of products, including groceries, clothing, household items, and electronics, providing shoppers with one-stop shopping convenience.
  • – Quality assurance: Woolworths often offers branded products, ensuring a certain level of quality for shoppers.
  • – Online shopping: Woolworths also provides the option for shoppers to purchase items online and have them delivered to their doorstep, saving time and effort.
  • Cons:
  • – Higher prices: Compared to traditional markets, Woolworths products are generally priced higher due to factors such as branding and convenience.
  • – Limited bargaining: Shoppers may not have the opportunity to negotiate prices or bargain with sellers as they would in traditional markets.
  • – Less personal interaction: The shopping experience at Woolworths may lack the personal interaction and connection that can be found in traditional markets.

Traditional market:

  • Pros:
  • – Lower prices: Traditional markets often offer products at lower prices compared to Woolworth, as they usually source directly from producers or wholesalers.
  • – Bargaining opportunities: Shoppers can negotiate prices or bargain with sellers, potentially obtaining better deals.
  • – Fresh and local products: Traditional markets are known for offering a variety of fresh and locally sourced products, allowing shoppers to support local businesses and enjoy a unique shopping experience.
  • – Personal interaction: Shoppers can directly communicate with sellers, forming connections and gaining insights about the products they are purchasing.
  • Cons:
  • – Limited variety: Traditional markets may have a limited range of products compared to larger stores like Woolworth.
  • – Inconvenience: Traditional markets are often located in specific areas, requiring shoppers to travel to reach them.
  • – Time-consuming: Shopping at traditional markets can be more time-consuming due to the need to visit multiple stalls or vendors to find everything on your shopping list.

Ultimately, the choice between Woolworths and traditional markets depends on personal preferences, budget, and shopping needs. While Woolworths offers convenience, a wide variety, and quality assurance, traditional markets provide lower prices, bargaining opportunities, fresh and local products, and personal interaction.

Pretty good, try and go during midday as it starts to get busier around 2:30pm to 7ish ? re parking.
Some good smaller eateries & Cafe, chemist, hairdresser, mobile shop
Doesn’t have a great selection of Manchester, but good fresh food.
Staff are pretty friendly and helpful.

In an entire mega Woolies, during peak checkout time, there was exactly ONE, yes ONE, person on checkout.
Self checkout is not viable for some. Woolies can you do better than this. Lash out a couple of dollars on checkout staff and clear the queue.

Woolworths Rosenthal, Is a great supermarket they have all you need and the staff there are great, if you aren’t familiar with where things are and you want a particular product, they will happily assist you and find what you are looking for not only that if you have a walking stick or a Walker and you can’t search for what you need they will find that product and bring it right to you. Also if you don’t want to shop where there is a large crowd this is the supermarket is for you! I shop there myself and I have never had a bad experience. I give this store a thumbs up!

My local store so I’m there weekly, for the most part I’m happy with it but they really need to have more staff on checkouts to clear the lines faster, it takes longer than it should to shop.

Absolutely hopeless online team members! 3 times now they have not checked their freezer and I get home to find stuff is missing. And if you try and ring the store phone number outside 9-5 business hours it just rings out! Management really care about the customer experience!

  1. First of all the store is unorganised and dirty. Customer Service is absolutely appalling. I drove to the store to get stock that showed available on the website but it wasn’t available, i was told the stock was out the back but couldn’t be reached and you would call me when you got the stock down so I could drive back again to pick it up. Never recieved a phone call. Will not shop with Woolworths again.

  2. A great place for grocery shopping. It can get quite busy at certain times of the day it’s wheel chair friendly and there staff are great and very helpful. They also have a lot of other products, I went to do the grocery shopping, and I found pots and pans that were a great price definitely a thumbs up!

  3. Love this supermarket. And the customer service is usually amazing. But there are a couple of workers that are rude. Feels like then dont want to be there
