I can’t say it was the cleanest bathroom but it’s pretty good technology with minimal touch. They are relatively large and can definitely cater for everyone in terms of ability and disability or if you have prams etc. They operate with a light telling you if it is occupied. If not, you can click the button to open the doors and then click the internal one to close and lock. The bathroom gives you a maximum of 15 minutes. It is all automatic so it will flush when you stand up or start using the tap (which is sensor based). The toilet itself is quite wet cause the tap isn’t that well designed and kinda shoots at you, rather than into the sink area. However, when you need to go, you need to go. I’m pretty grateful there was one, and I’m sure other people are thinking the same thing.

  1. Shits me how public toilets close. Because people don’t need toilets after 5.30 pm – pun intended.
*edit, my bad. Maps showed this toilet as closing at 5.30. I must say I’m relieved to see its 24 hrs – pun intended.

  2. Was the most disgusting toilet I’ve ever seen. ‘Liquids’ of I don’t know what probably pee were all over the ground. I tried to pick up the toilet seat and it wouldn’t let me, and I lost grip holding the seat with toilet paper in my fingers and hand so it slammed back down pushing liquid all over my knees making me cringe and feel disgusted. There was also toilet paper on the ground and hanging outside the door. The non touch sensors barely work, with I needing to put my hand on it to open the toilet. Not very covid safe or hygienic whatsoever.

I would rate this the worst toilet experience of my life.

  3. Who ever sold the government on the “Self-cleaning” point should be fired or sued. These robot toilets are by far and away the nastiest places you can encounter. If robots are the future, I have great dread for humanity.

  4. Its sensor touch was malfunction, while I tried to pull my pant up, it was suddenly opening, I was frightened because there were 2 people sitting opposite the toilet! Horrible experience!!!
