One of Perth’s better beaches, containing a huge off beach area with a fantastic variety of pubs and food outlets, with eye candy for all tastes. The 990 bus travels from the central bus port in the Perth CBD directly to the beach for those who are on a budget and want to see more of the city.

The beach that we visited the most during this trip. Near to CC sister kid’s school ~ a very good place for us to hang around and chill between the drop off and pick up time from school. Very beautiful and big beach ~ we parked at different places during each visit and have seen the different yet all beautiful side of Scarborough Beach (kinda hard for me to pronounce the name right at first ?)

A beach that is really stunning… There are a lot of areas to BBQ, long walkways to walk on, clean water and sand, a lot of playgrounds for children, and a lot of food to eat from the cafés that are located nearby.

Spectacular spot to relax at the end of a big day, solo, or with friends and family. The grassy knoll is a fantastic spot for this occasion, being beautifully manicured and irrigated, soft turf. Nearby bars and cafes are perfect for a bite to eat or afternoon session. This is a must do if in the area. My first time watching the spectacular sunset over the Indian Ocean. AAA +++

  1. Great beach, a few months ago this beach was covered in seaweed. It looks like it has all been cleared now and they have added nets to prevent it happening again in the future. The pier here breaks the rip tides and it’s a great place to go swim with very few rocks. The bathrooms facilities are also great. Would recommend this beach to those with families and small children.

  2. Didn’t get to spend much time on this beach ~ been there once during our trip and only walking along the beach side from parking place to the restaurant that we going for breakfast after drop CC’s kids at school, but that’s enough to see the beautiful side of the beach!

  3. Incredible beach! It might not be overly large but with such perfect sand and crisp clear water it the perfect picturesque spot. Walking out along the rock jetty gives lovely views back towards the coast and there’s plenty of spaces to sit along the edge if you don’t want to actually go on the sand. It was a shame all the facilities inside the pavilion building were shut when I visited but there’s a good number of toilets and showers freely available to use. Free parking available too mean I’d happily return here time and time again!

  4. Absolutely love Cottesloe Beach! The highlight is the shark protection safety net, making it super fun to enjoy the water. Only downside is the cleanliness of the restrooms, but overall, it’s a fantastic beach experience!
