a month agoIn need of some love. Staff not overly friendly. Still worth a visit to see a taste of yesteryear with the dolls and reminders of nursery rhymes ?2 months agoSuch a fun place to visit, had a blast running around the castle and looking at everything they had there.11 months agoWe expected more from the medieval castle, It was a shame that most of the medieval exhibits were closed due to disrepair. The toy shop & doll display were open for viewing, that’s the castles main focus currently. Sadly we weren’t here long at all. I do hope it’s restored to its former glory. I’d love to check it out fully one day… fingers crossed ?6 months agoAwesome place to visit. Even has a doll museum inside. Grab a cup of coffee from the shop inside and off you goa year agoWe have been here over the last 19 years. We used to go into the Castle to explore the dolls and rooftop. We did the self-guided tour with the kids and still enjoyed it. The staff are always friendly and helpful.

Beautiful location. There is some parking but limited as it’s very popular. Around the lighthouse beach area it’s off leash for your furry family members. Lots of rocks to explore. No cafes or shops at the location but there are plenty of shops about 3 mins away. NO lifeguards or flag areas for swimming. There are public toilets at the carpark area.
Nice walking area with easy parking around La Balsa Park instead of the carpark closer towards the lighthouse which doesn’t have many spots and seems full with locals going for a swim. The walk up to the end of the rock wall is quiet and evenly paved but there’s no path up the hill once you get to the beach/end. Instead head across the grassy area further back and up the hill where you will get great views looking back at Buddina Beach to the south as well as being able to admire the artwork on the water tower which was recently refurbished.
Great vantage point of the ocean. Which is probably why a lighthouse is built here. There are a small number of car parking spots close to the lighthouse, but if you don’t manage to get one of those you’ll have to walk up the hill. Needs a bit of an uphill walk but is worth it.
Interesting lighthouse shape, I’m used to them having round edges, but this is a square shape.
There is also a water tower which is nicely decorated with paintings of ocean animals.
You’ve got a great spot at Lookout with a stunning view of the city and a beautiful mix of sandy and rocky beach. Highly recommended! Just a heads up, parking might be a bit limited around there. Enjoy the view!
This place is a must-visit! Even if the Lighthouse doesn’t captivate you, the breathtaking view certainly will.
Bring your own food, find a spot, and soak in the beauty of the sea. Just be aware, parking can be a bit challenging during peak seasons, and note that entry to the Lighthouse is restricted.
