Stayed here early this week for a work event. This was the cleanest Motel I have ever stayed at and I have stayed in hundreds of them. The views of the Harbour were amazing, and the amenities were fantastic also. Very comfortable and quiet. The check-in lady was extremely well presented and professional. I will definitely return here, and I would highly recommend staying. Thank you. ?

Can not fault! Staff were welcoming and friendly. Our room was so clean and tidy. The view from room 15 was perfect. The spa was awesome. The bathroom clean and products were very nice. The coffee machine and cookies and fruit and nuts are a lovely added touch. Was a good selections of teas and hot chocolate too. The bed was comfy and pillows good too. We will be back. Highly recommend! Can’t not fault anything.

  1. Room wasn’t ready at check in.
First room: dirty cup, odd smell and suspicious stains on my pillows.
Second room: (offered 1 free drink for my trouble, didn’t use it) I sure do enjoy two double beds pushed together so there’s a ridge between me and my husband.
If you enjoy waiting 10 minutes for the hot water to start, this is the place.
    No special channels just basic.
Bar was closed on Friday night.
Breakfast was great, staff were friendly but that does not make up for a hugely MEH experience.
    Won’t be back

  2. I arrived after a day of traveling from Wellington by public transport. My day started at 5am. My stay was organized by phone, fully paid for in advance and confirmed by phone two days prior to my arrival about 7pm.
At reception I was asked for photo ID.
I don’t have one on me,
Drivers licence? no not driving in Tauranga.
    Company policy photo ID
At no time prior was I told I needed one. Looking later I found nothing on the website.
The question was repeated over and over as if I didn’t understand until I lost my temper, raised my voice and asked, audible to a group in reception, ARE YOU GOING TO PUT ME OUT ON THE STREET?
I was given the room. I received no apology, at any time then or during my five night stay, and had the room not been paid for I would have left and found somewhere else to stay.

I AM 80YEARS and travel alone.
I have stayed in hotels in London, France, Germany, Auckland, Invercargill and Tauranga, never have I been asked for photo ID.

the room was ok except for a long black hair in the shower (my hair is short grey) which I asked and got cleaning staff to remove next day. They apologized

The restaurant was only open for dinner one night, but I was out one night when it may have been open. Signage indicated bar and restaurant closed Thursday to Sunday when in fact bar was open and for food. Not a very interesting menu and nothing like on the website.

I had coffee delivered by room service each morning on wakening as only instant in room. This is fine. However Saturday morning I was told they don’t do room service coffee!! I just said, yes you do and hung up. Waited and it was delivered. Again no apology.

I think management need to upgrade staff training at the very least.

I would not recommend this hotel. Especially if you travel without photo ID. I won’t stay again.

  3. The hotel itself is nice looking but the beds themselves are not comfortable. The service was horrible, the front desk was extremely rude to our group. They have a rule of no parties that we understand. But if a tour group is just sitting around the pool talking quietly that is not a party.

  4. Highly disappointed. Considering I nearly paid $300 ($296) per night for a standard room in this hotel it was very poor. The room had very limited amenities, no plates, no cutlery, no microwave. Only 2 mugs provided and only place to rinse then was the bathroom sink which the cup can’t fit under. Our key card stopped working twice during our stay and I kept having to go to reception to sort it out which was a pain. My girlfriend fake tanned and popped a towel down. This left a slight hue on the bedsheet which would have came out spotless and clean if washed like normal but they proceeded to charge our card $10 without asking us first or even trying to dry clean them. Absolutely lazy. The “buffet” breakfast is $30 and the only hot food option is bacon, eggs, beans and some watery mushrooms. Definitely not worth the money. The restaurant was also closed most of the time during our stay. The bar was also closed. On our last morning, the sink in the bathroom clogged. We hadn’t put anything questionable down it either. Only good thing was the location. Overall the hotel is out dated and over priced. I don’t think I will return.

  5. Stayed a few times never had any issues, really affordable pricing too, only thing I don’t like is the food, the food is shocking. I guess you can go out to eat but would be a bonus if the room service food was better
