Reception was impatient in explaining to me how to hire a meeting room. I was told I need a PHYSICAL student ID card and without it, I couldn’t use the room. I told her I study online and my ID is online (which I offered to show her. The identification number is all she needed) and she said she couldn’t help me if I didn’t have a physical copy.

Although I haven’t been in here, I caught the Route 91 to Toukley a number of times. Waiting for the bus though, you’re deafened by the Classical music that’s rather ear-piercing at times. Why blast Classical music so damn loud for? Don’t get me wrong, I like Classical music. Not when it’s so loud to where you can hear it multiple bus stops away! At times, I simply wish they’d just play the radio or old 50’s and 60’s style music instead.

  1. This place is underrated! Definitely a gem within the Gosford area.
Upstairs study section is amazing, large desks, relatively quiet most of the time.
    No complaints

  2. Lovely place to spend a day reading. Good collection of kids books as well. I wish it would stay open longer (like other libraries in NSW). Atleast till 6pm, so that kids can spend an hour or two there after school

  3. I retract my review, who in your team decided that 4:30pm would’ve been the optimal time to close?? Students like myself need time after school to study, a library should be providing those times for study. One hour after school is not enough for students. In fact, it is proven that you are more productive outside of home.
I know this building will be demolished after the new library is built, but you need to at least keep hours open for students. Especially since the HSC is near.

  4. Yesterday, we went to Gosford Library for a school holiday clay activity, and it was so good. The instructor was friendly and helpful. She was so easy to talk to and very kind to our kids.
I visited this library many times, and I love the fact that it’s next to a playground so our kids can play after. There are toilets outside of the library, and supermarket just across the road as well, so if you are a student and need a place to study, you can easily come here to read, do your school work, and then get something to eat and relax at Kibble Park.
I came back today for Steam Punk Hat creation, and it was a fantastic experience.
Thank you, Gosford Library team, for making our visits wonderful as always.
