Small library but perfect for my 3 children and I. Plenty of books for my oldest, the big reader, and the early reader books great for my middle plus board books, puzzles and blocks to keep the toddler entertained. They even had crafts in the school holidays. Very nice staff and an inviting feel about this library. Once you join one library you can go to any nelson library so I dont think the size will be a problem as we can reserve books from the other two Libraries, which we have yet to check out.

  1. I have been a member of this library for quite a few years now, and when I saw the opportunity to write a review I felt pleased to be able to.
I absolutely LOVE this library. It is so well stocked with such a variety of resources. The staff are totally awesome. They are friendly, very helpful and informative. I like the new check out system, and have enjoyed many a musical CD.
I just like being in the environment of the library, it is somehow exciting, but also a very peaceful happy place to be.
Many of us have a moan about the Council from time to time, but I have to say they look after our recreationals very well.
I am also amazed at the way Tahuna beach is being developed simply for human entertainment, and of course canine. The Nightingale library is also a treat to go to.
Well done everyone, your efforts are very much appreciated.

  2. Nelson library has given a great service always . But recently they said that they changed their policies and cannot take the book and reissue it. I have been doing that for ages and had no problem until today . If there is no one holding the book, why cannot they reissue it? I am really unsatisfied with that library assistant’s service .

  3. Good. Some good low sofa chairs for the public..✔️

Not too good for the table chairs..80% are so hard for the elderly for a long period of time ???❎❎
