Premium room at the standard of pseudo business class of low-cost airlines. Sore buttocks after 1h30. Poorly adjusted air conditioning, leading to lots of sneezing in the room. Direct exit onto a gloomy passage, where you expect to come across drug dealers, racketeers or lost people…3 weeks agoThe film was interrupted twice. We paid like in all the cinemas in the world but without being able to watch the film. Only in Caledonia this type of service.5 months agoPleasant cinema and comfort assured, however a few points need improvement: -The parking lot is undersized -Filtering, before accessing the rooms, is not up to the standard of such a structure -The sound of films is too loud or even unbearable -Appearances, in the toilets, of graffiti made by certain brainless people

As a native English speaker, I will write my review in English. This theater rarely shows English-based movies in the original language. While I understand (though detest) that several countries in Europe, including France, have a whole industry devoted to dubbing movies to their own language, I think this theater, operating as a complete monopoly here in Noumea should make a greater effort to present most of the English based movies at least once in English.
Now, that said, Cinecity did show the new Stars Wars movie, Rogue One, in English … on a Sunday night .. only in 2D. But there was at least that. Now for the REAL reason that I give this monopolistic theater just a 2 star rating. Before the late Sunday showing of Rogue One started (scheduled for 20:20), here is how many commercials we had to sit through: NINETEEN. Yes, 19 commercials were shown, back to back to back to back to back to back to back to back to back to back to back to back to back to back to back to back to back to back to back. And then they showed three movie trailers.
The previous movie I’d seen here, the not-very-good Angry Birds movie with my daughter featured 13 commercials before the movie started. This is how it is for every single film shown here. and it’s why I rarely go see a movie here even though it is the only game in town. Yes, I really hate commercials at the movie theater, but this theater takes the international cake in making you wait 15-20 minutes until actually starting the movie you paid to see.

It’s a decent complex with 12 cinemas offering all the latest movies (dubbed in french, of course) but it could do with a bit of a renovation. No carpet in the main lobby, just concrete? but odd.
The cinema was clean, though a little run down. Just a heads up, the movies are in French
