A movie theater (American English), cinema (British English), or cinema hall (Indian English), also known as a movie house, picture house, picture theater or simply theater, is a business that contains auditoria for viewing films (also called movies) for public entertainment. Most are commercial operations catering to the general public, who attend by purchasing tickets.
The film is projected with a movie projector onto a large projection screen at the front of the auditorium while the dialogue, sounds and music are played through a number of wall-mounted speakers. Since the 1970s, subwoofers have been used for low-pitched sounds. Since the 2010s, the majority of movie theaters have been equipped for digital cinema projection, removing the need to create and transport a physical film print on a heavy reel.
A great variety of films are shown at cinemas, ranging from animated films to blockbusters to documentaries. The smallest movie theaters have a single viewing room with a single screen. In the 2010s, most movie theaters had multiple screens. The largest theater complexes, which are called multiplexes—a concept developed in Canada in the 1950s—have up to thirty screens. The audience members often sit on padded seats, which in most theaters are set on a sloped floor, with the highest part at the rear of the theater. Movie theaters often sell soft drinks, popcorn and candy, and some theaters sell hot fast food. In some jurisdictions, movie theaters can be licensed to sell alcoholic drinks.

Over the many years and under different names this cinema has evolved and the current renovated complex is comfortable to watch a flick whether it’s on a regular screen through to Gold Class with the reclining seats, and meal and drinks service. The cinema seems modern and clean from the cinema seating through to the toilets, making it one of the more enjoyable complexes to spend your free time in.

The complex also has casual restaurants and a timezone to complete the experience, and there’s plenty of parking around that’s great except when it’s a super busy time.

Wow great experience. We went there to watch Fast X. That place is really good. Good service more facilities like snacks/beverages/therapy chairs/ very comfortable film halls / washrooms/ quick photo stalls ?(you can take a photo and at the same time you can take its printed copy) . We enjoyed very well friendly staff.

This Cinema is keeping up to its standards hence rated 5 Star. Easy check – in to both Gold class and V-Max areas with the assistance of friendly staff members. Cannot fault the picture and quality of sound specially Gold Class where awesome food and beverage priced reasonably and good portions, very comfortable clean seats. The parking could get tight at busy times. Overall great cinema experience !

Nice enough refurbishment but it’s clearly understaffed with a lot of the candy bar/toilet areas messy and unstocked.

All the nice bells and whistles mean very little when one of your premium-priced VMAX cinemas has the bottom third of the screen noticeably much darker than the rest of the screen, making any scenes set during the night pretty distracting.

  1. A totally relaxed and family friendly cinema. It was very simple sign up, find a movie and buy tickets. Ticket pricing is cheaper than most cinemas, and the managements laid back attitude towards patrons bringing their own snacks is refreshing and most welcomed. The ability to buy the same foods as in the catered cinema is such a great service too. We enjoyed the movie in the Titan Cinema and had pizza and snacks we brought ourselves. The staff are very friendly and go out of their way to keep patrons happy. All in all a great experience and one we hope to enjoy again soon. Image used is not owned by me!

  2. Just watching Barbie in here ! The chair very cozy and big ! I spend $19.50 for total is very cheap ticket ! Near shopping central and inside including candy bar !

  3. Five stars all the way! ? Our preferred cinema for good reason – it’s the epitome of comfort, cleanliness, and stellar service. The staff is consistently helpful, making every visit a breeze.

And can we talk about the popcorn? Always fresh and oh-so-nice – a cinema essential done right. Movies here are a flawless experience – clear screens and a perfect sound system. No hiccups, just pure cinematic bliss. Highly recommend! ??

  4. Never had bad experience before until yesterday. Purchased 4 tickets on line for Gold Lounge. Entered cinema found 2 people sitting in allocated seats. Ushers came in and I asked about the mix up expecting them to move the people but he went away to check. Meanwhile people are saying to us just go to another seats. Considering this was allocated seating how we were to know which seats had not been assigned to other patrons. Usher came back and said there was a machine glitch and system had allocated same seats, which I doubt very much. He had shown the people the incorrect seats in the first place and expected us to go to other seats. Get it right Readings staff. Don’t put patrons in embarrassing situations.

  5. Don’t come to cinema 1 at this venue, the sound was so loud I nearly left half way through the movie. The food is over priced and the seats in cinema 1 if your a tall person, it is not very comfortable.
