Amazing place! Very informative and well worth the visit – Entry is free! Buy something to support our troops :-). Is undergoing a refurb in April 2024 with new aircraft coming in, so looking forward to re-visiting. Staff are amazing to talk to and very passionate about our defence. Cannot recommend highly enough. Free parking, very clean venue, toilets, free entry and allow around 1hr. Activities for little ones to do too :-). Enjoy.

What a great testimony to Australia’s involvement in flight and war. Well presented and maintained on an active army base. Interactive exhibits helps with understanding the time and effectiveness of the machinery.

This museum was wonderfully set out and extremely clean. Was definitely worth the visit. My 2 daughters (2 & 3) had a ball taking photos and playing in the kids area. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Will definitely be visiting again. ??

  1. An iconic museum in Toowoomba and definitely worth a visit. Aside from the historical museum, there’s also a Science museum which is great for kids, a Spy themed museum, and a cafe for food and drinks afterwards. The staff were wonderful and very friendly and they offer student discount which was great. Plenty of parking in the adjacent street out the front, and it’s located very close to Queens Park for a walk afterwards. We actually found it very interesting here and would highly recommend!

  2. What a Great museum to visit. Good collections of national Carriage and well displayed. The Science centre is good fun place for children. Staffs are very friendly and helpful. Not only the carriages , they have other sections like – Spy -history of espionage in Australia, Hands on Workshops, This is my heritage exhibition, MegaFauna ( pre historic Giant from Darling downs) and The coach stop play area. We enjoyed our visit.

  3. Great museum with plenty of interactive things to do. The science centre is a lot of fun which was the highlight, but it was also great to see all the old carriages. Definitely worth the money.

  4. A great facility. Pays tribute to all aspects of regional history and preserves an extensive range of historical items. The coach display is the best I’ve seen and definitely worth a visit when in Toowoomba.
There’s a lovely cafe and gift shop. The staff are friendly and welcoming.
