6 months agoHow wonderful and attentive the staff are. Great listening skills and able to accommodate weary sea travelers. Had a wonderful day trip to Fitzroy Island (even though it was rough going over) just beautiful. Thank you so much for taking the time with us. A+2 years agoEasy to book a tour with rebekkah, we were given the price for our day trip to Moore reef with transfers. However when i went to check in at the sunflower counter at the marina to get our boarding pass I was asked to pay 63!!! Asking for what I was then told that the tour did not include hotel transfers. We were literally staying a 4 minute walk from the marina and had I known that we were going to be charged I would have said no…. this was not made clear at the time of booking!!! Very decieving so I begrudgingly paid the one way fare and cancelled the return… that was still 30 odd dollars!!!! Beware when booking4 years agoVery helpful and informative. Debbie was beyond helpful!!! She is full of knowledge when it comes to all the dive courses but she also answered all my silly questions. She also went above and beyond and sent a number of ideas for other day trips to do whilst up in cairns!
Thank you so much for making my planning of activities so easy and hassle free!!
We worked with Debra over the last couple of months when planning our trip to Cairns. Great customer service. She always responded quickly to any questions we had. We ended up booking three tours through Cairns Tourist Information Centre. Thanks Debra (and Vina) for your help. We’re looking forward to our trip to Cairns.
As a tourist new to Cairns. I was quite lost about where to park my car as there is only 3p parking nearby.
So I saw this tourist information center and decided to ask where I can park my car nearby.
But for a tourist information center, they definitely did a very bad job for giving information.
The lady inside is not helpful and the answer is very sarcastic.
I was like is there anywhere I can park my car overnight and perhaps it is free
THERE IS NO FREE PARKING HERE IN AUSTRALIA
With a sarcastic face she is giving
After that I gave up and went to the bar beside and they did a better job for giving me information
There will be few car parks nearby where you can park your car for a flat rate per day
So yeah I will definitely not book anything from them
Debra and her staff continue to be amazing. This is our second time using Cairns Tourist Information Centre to coordinate our holiday in Queensland. Both times they overcame pop up obstacles to save our vacation. First time an flight delay caused us to be a day late & this time a Cyclone caused some closures. These folks saved both holidays for us!
Deborah was SO helpful. She really knew her stuff from the top of her head. Knew of every tourist attraction around and she helped us with our specific needs. Highly recommend
Also this tourist place isn’t connected to either vape stores or clubs, so their focus really is tourism and not just you partying hardy
