Exceeded expectations! We were really surprised at the variety and quality of the exhibits. Would be the first time I have seen an exhibit using real mangroves to provide a truly natural habitat for the sea life. The huge hawksbill turtles were great to see up close in the outdoor exhibit. Highly recommend visiting

Normally I don’t like aquariums they are like zoos for me. But this one has mostly smaller aquatic animals in a very interesting and educational way. We attended an animation on the life cycle of the sea turtles which was interactive and excellent. And the turtles’ feeding time was also amazing.

I recently visited the Aquarium des Lagons during a cruise, and I was truly impressed. The place is stunningly beautiful, impeccably clean, and the staff are exceptionally friendly. The diverse range of fish species is unlike anything I’ve seen in Australia. It was a truly special experience, and I want to express my gratitude for making it so memorable.

TOP NOTCH AQUARIUM – Relatively small but all inclusive for aquatic habitats. Animals were alive and well and the condition of the aquaria was second to none. It was similar to Monterey Bay Aquarium but on a smaller scale and yet there was so much to do and see. Great for families with in and outdoor exhibits and activities. Highly recommended and enjoy!

Really worth visiting if you’ve got the time, kids friendly small aquarium with a few exclusive marine animals and air conditioned. No need to book in advance, price at the desk is the same via online.

  1. We had an amazing day in Numea. City Park was the first place when we got off the shuttle bus. The location was great. The views were amazing. There was a lot of friendly people to greet us and let us know what was available to do. Bus tours and train bus tours etc. The park was child and wheelchair friendly. Overall a great place

  2. Interesting place with local vibes ! On a weekend there is a musical kiosk that plays a local music! The band is very vibrant! You can hear local song! It was a great experience.

There is also a flea and street markets . People sell all kind of stuff. You can potentially find a little souvenir that you want to bring home. Everything is very cheap there.

There are also few food tracks.
Something good to experience when you are there!

  3. July 2023 – Lovely big open space in the middle of town. We had a short pit stop and wander before carrying on with our journey.
Not much happening whilst we were there, but I imagine it gets really busy.
