A very good Indian restaurant at Launceston. Definitely a must visit place.

The staff are very friendly and always eager to provide the best possible customer service.

Coming to food, except for Dal Makhni, we loved everything. The lentils were a bit uncooked in the Dal Makhni, otherwise taste wise it was yum. All other food options were tasty and portions adequate.

If you happen to be in or around Launceston, do add this place as one of your must visit locations.

Truly a gem! We love our Indian crusine and Spice Lounge did not disappoint.

We asked for Asian spice level and lets just say it was a little more than a kick, more than what we expected and hands down one of the best indian I had in years.

Absolutely enjoyed the Hangover Chicken and Goat Curry. All the food was served hot and the view is stunning. Staff was extremely patience and intentive. We will be back.

I have given this place a four because the staff were not friendly and difficult when seating us. However the food here is very good and I do recommend that cost $$

  1. Second time a group of us have caught up and enjoyed a banquet.
Food is very good with great flavours, and can highly recommend a table upstairs for a get together. Relaxed and a good atmosphere.

  2. My overall experience was good.
I had Palak Kofta, Dal Tadka Yellow, Mango Lassi and the taste was really good.

It’s good to book your table in advance as it can be very busy and waiting for food can be a bit longer.

Staff is friendly and ambience is good.

They have vegetarian as well as non vegetarian options along with cocktails and alcohol.

    Highly recommended.

  3. Some of the best indian food I have had in years. The beef vindaloo was perhaps a bit salty but that could be me and my taste buds.
Very generous portions served on beautiful crockery. (The things you notice!)
The atmosphere on a hot night was relaxed and charming.
I found the service quite good. There was a weird group next to us who seemed to want to negotiate everything with the staff like it was an hostage situation. The four of them took 20 minutes to order. The staff were patient and cheerful with them. Everyone else got their meals before those clowns did though, which only seemed fair!
For some reason it took a long time for the mains to come out.
The delivery guys seemed to be waiting 40 minutes+ for their orders.
I would definately go there again but not after 6pm.
