3 months agoI stopped by to grab some dinner before heading out of Auckland. The place was empty but there were quite a few takeaway orders going on. I grabbed a power burrito with cauliflower with everthing. The sauces they had were slightly different. The burrito was ok in size and was more filling than it looked. They have a nacho burrito which looks interesting.a month agoThe staff were very friendly, but unfortunately, the food didn’t live up to standard. It felt like the ingredients were of lower quality and the dishes lacked the taste of Mexican cuisine. Their slogan, “Mexican restaurant, serving Mexican food differently,” seems quite accurate.4 months agoGot two burritos for $20 through an Uber Eats deal. Portions are so small they’re laughable. Burrito had so much empty space in it. There was a smudge of chicken. Fortunately didn’t ask for double meat, otherwise would have been more of a rip off. You would be insane to pay $20 for one burrito of that size. 2 stars not 1 because at least the salad seemed fresh. First and last time customer. If you want a good burrito, get Taco Loco.4 years agoHave gotten takeaway from here a few times recently. Though this is probably not traditional Mexican food, they put their own twist on it, which is quite nice. The menu is varied with lots of options and the prices are reasonable. Staff have been friendly every visit. Will definitely return.3 months agoThis was my go to Zambrero BUT NOT ANYMORE . I normally get Burrito w Cauliflower – NO rice no beans . But when i saw the quantity i was shook . A TEASPOON ???? all the salads were less – but guess what was it filled with SOLELY LETTUCE ?!!! Asked for more and gave me another teaspoon FOR $2 extra LOL The guy when i entered was on phone – saw me and went inside – didnt came out for 4-5 mins , when came out was still on calll ?? for real ? Asked him to squeeze a lemon on my burrito guess what THEY DONT DO IT ANYMORE ??? .You lost one of your loyal customer . Please teach your employees how to deal w customers .
Thanks

Tried this place and food first time yesterday. The staff was very friendly and patient. Explained the dishes and the ingredients patiently. The place was clean and hygienic. Very good customer service and the food was handled neatly. No filthy stuffing or overloading ingredients popping out of the shell/burrito. Will certainly visit again and recommend.
Best burrito place in the country. Me and my family love Mexican food. We have been to a lot of Mexican places but Zambrero Albany is our all time favourite. I go there 2-3 times a week. Not to forget, we live in East Tamaki Heights and we drive all the way to the shore to eat at this restaurant. Friendly, polite and welcoming team. See you guys on the weekend. ?????
I ordered a burrito for takeaway and they had run out of the tomatoes and the trizego sauce and without me asking the excellent staff on shift cut up a tomato for me and make their own sauce that tasted the exact same for my burrito. 10/10 delicious and the staff are always so friendly and wonderful.
The black rice and beans are so filling, very fast service if on the way to or from!
Nice table and chairs of to the side for bigger gatherings.
And a few more of to side for 1-2 people
The two ladies that served us last night were amazing. They took their time to explain the menu to us and made suggestions to help us decide. These two ladies were an absolute asset to the business.
