Fish (crumbed) was excellent, delicate, fresh, tasty, well cooked. Chips were freshly cooked and moreish! Calamari soft and beautifully cooked. Ordered online and when picked up, had no wait time. Excellent! Thank you.

The service was the only good thing. The fish was not cooked properly we got 0ne battered it was dripping of oil half missing the batter and the other two crumbed well if you could call it crumbed, the sea food stick was not even cooked at all the potato scallops where just dripping with oil and not battered properly with the oil dripping from the scollops they looked sponges , the chips looked very yellow in colour and looked terrible but they did taste ok. The meal was the worst fish and chip meal I have ever had in my life and recommend no one ever go there very high chance of getting food poisoning. But this is a shame because it was once one of my favourite fish and chip shops but it was 12 months ago that I had been there until last night.

My partner and I ordered some fish, chips, seafood sticks and a pineapple fritter. Everything was great, first time trying. We will definitely be back very soon

Mushy fish and fillet about 1cm wide. Coleslaw with 6 tablespoons of plain Mayo. Gross!

Fast, friendly service, reasonable prices, good portion sizes. I ordered barramundi and the fish was fluffy, with crispy batter and crunchy chips. Couldn’t ask for more

  1. Absolutely AMAZING ! We spend big at stoneys because the quality and price is fantastic! The lovely worker came to the car with our order as i had my newborn in the car! Great service. Amazing food 10/10

  2. Prawns and seafood are are rare treat this day n age with the cost of living how it is. I lashed out and got 1kg of medium king prawns. The ones in the display looked old and not fresh so I asked for some fresh ones out of storage(hoping they were the next days sell in the display out front). Major disappointment when we got home. They were extremely salty(obviously to preserve the used by date) and mushy. Full of water which confirmed they were frozen also. I recon I would have got better quality at the supermarket. Extremely disappointed and I feel like I’ve been ripped off. I’ve read comments from the owner of this establishment responding to other negative reviews from other people and I find all they are trying to do is somehow attempting to justify their poor quality. So please, don’t do the same when you read this review. Fix the problem and at least offer a refund. You are in business to provide good quality fresh food right? Well what I got was far from that.?. We live an hour away so going back to the shop to complain and ask for a refund was out of the question. I will call the shop in the morning to complain and ask for a refund. Let’s see how I go. I will post the outcome. I called the shop this morning after reading the managers below response. I spoke to the manager Megan. She was very much on the defence straight away and insisted nothing is wrong with the quality of their prawns. I advised I merely put this review here to let others know of the experience I had with what I considered to be poor quality prawns, nothing more or nothing less. The outcome of all of this is that Megan has now given us a store credit in the full amount of the initial purchase price of the 1kg medium king prawns that we bought. I thank her for doing this so now we can give the quality of her products another try. Hopefully the next purchase will be good so we can give a good review to match the product.

  3. The few times I visited the staff were always friendly and helpful. The seafood is fresh and delicious. There’s always a huge variety of choices. Always happy to support the locals.

(Side note people need to realise that the reason big business conglomerates charge less is because of mass farming and not so ethical business practices. It is okay if you can’t afford to buy from locals and buy from those places instead. Leaving one-star reviews here is just unnecessary.)

  4. Ordered 3 barra burgers, $4 chips and a serve of potato gems. At $15 per burger, we were looking forward to a nice piece of grilled barra, lettuce, tomato, mayo and cheese. The ‘barra’ was some kind of seafood patty. Unfortunately tasted like crab sticks were mushed up into it. All three of us tried to eat them but they were awful 🙁 The salad was ok but stunk of the patties. We’re not a fussy bunch and eat just about anything usually.
The chickens didn’t mind the patties and salad the next morning. Chips were over-cooked and old. We made other plans for dinner afterwards.
We had been to Stoney previously for fresh prawns which were brilliant but these burgers were dreadful.

  5. Thanks for the over cooked and stale chips. $51 and this is what we opened up.
Edit. Yes. I was there with my partner. We spent $51 in store and were expecting fresh. Those chips are anything but. Sorry, but over cooked and stale is what we got.
