3 months agoDidn’t clean the car, price said $16 turned out to be 16.40 with surcharges, there were no indications that there was a Surcharge. Called in for the first time on Sunday 09/05/21 & have to say the staff were most helpful & decided on the Mega Wash without any vacuuming.
Paid AUD $20.00 for a 6.5 minutes wash & dry & the result was good enough.
Great auto car wash experience. I had a very very buggy car after a long trip home from Townsville at night. The car wash handled bugs pretty well. One of the few auto washes in Cairns that also has a drying feature.
Too expensive for having to do it yourself. But there was a change machine plus card accepted, several vacuums available, and all the functions on the service worked. The high pressure hose is really good! The cable to the tyre brush isn’t long enough or comfortable to get around a large ute because it’s a coil cable attached to the wall and not on the overhead swivel like the foaming brush, but it was nice that a separate brush for tyres was available. When I was there, someone was cleaning the stations and removing ru bish which was surprising to see and really nice. He was friendly. My main complaint other than price is that the soft water was not filtered enough. Cleaned all the glass at home after to get the spots off properly, but overall the ute is looking much better! Would come again.
I have visited Avanti Carwash in Smithfield a few times now, and each time I have noticed how helpful Paul is.
I asked Paul advice on washing my engine bay today as I am selling my car.
He explained to me that I need to be very careful because of the electrics. 9I wouldn’t have thought of that),
He then proceeded to demonstrate how to do it all free of charge.

Harassed by Management on 23.12.23 by my review below. NOTE: my review was 11 mths ago, now thats some built up anger to be hanging onto and chasing people down over a review.
The Manager came right up to my face and said “what are you doing here, you gave me a bad review”. The Manager is extremely aggressive, likes to intimidate people, is unable to accept criticism and his ego is a big as the car wash he runs. Reviews are about accepting the good and the bad so you can improve your business, not harass people.
*Manager also stated “I will be targeting ALL negative reviews and they will be confronted” although questioned his motives why is that necessary, he would not have it and said “I have 4.3 rating. He also demanded I take down my review! Cars are being recorded and his staff are monitoring the ones who left a negative review and he will confront you on the spot. Beware, this man is aggressive.
IF YOU CANNOT ACCEPT NEGATIVE REVIEWS, YOU’RE IN THE WRONG BUSINESS AND SHOULD MOVE ON. – If you approach me again I will be recording you and involving the police, they can deal with your over sized ego.
