The best fish & chips shop in Hervey Bay!! I had a piece of cod that was cooked to perfection!!! ?? the chips are delicious and no grease at all. The portion of fish with chips is very generous! ? It’s situated close to the Urangan Pier with lots of spots for a pic nic or you can seat at their seating area and enjoy the best fish! Highly recommend! ?

Not a huge range of food or drinks to choose from but the food that we did order was delicious. Big servings. The potato scallops are popular and they didn’t disappoint, they were thick cut, nice batter and not overly oily. We ordered calamari with chips, grilled snapper and 5 potato scallops. A water, and ginger beer as well as seafood sauce cost $47.40. ?? I’ve lived here for 16 years and can say this is definitely one of the better fish shops. Oh and we got a half dozen local oysters for $16.00. We will be back.

Ordered three potatoe scallops. Yuk yuk yuk. They were so thick that they weren’t cooked through. And super greasy. I would have gone back but had a long day and too exhausted to go back out. I’m a local and won’t be back or recommend.

10/10 food & service ! Placed an online order at peak hour and it was ready within minutes ? I cannot get over how delicious the food was and not too greasy like many other places I’ve tried before ! Very good serving also, and 4 pieces of lemon per tray which is fantastic. Will definitely be back more often than not. If you haven’t yet tried Migaloos, do yourself a favour & get on down to Urangan ??

A great venue for freshly cooked seafood, dine in or takeaway

Fully licensed for dine in customers, so no BYO in the venue

Situated in a great location, in a park adjacent the Urangan Pier. Quite a few picnic tables in close vicinity, many with water views ?️

Our order was taken politely and ready in ten minutes

We chose to enjoy our meal at a table with views over the bay, just beautiful

Plenty of convenient parking and public toilets nearby The venue was spotlessly clean and our meal was delicious ?

  1. Great value for money and incredibly friendly service! These guys are great!

We went around lunch time, as we’d walked past multiple times and it always seemed to have someone collecting or people sat on the table outside! So looked like a good spot!

Portion sizes where large (in our opinion) and we enjoyed sharing our food! We enjoyed the seafood supper, nuggets and burger – I’m aware we should’ve had more seafood but we really enjoyed the burger and nuggets too!

Fish and scallops in the supper tasted fresh. Well crumbled/battered and the chips where well cooked, not soggy, not burnt.

The burger we got as a random side but it was really nice. Absolutely huge! All accompaniments, salad, beetroot, sauce etc!

    Would recommend!

  2. I cant fault them. While staying in hervey bay, we went twice in one week. It was that good, plus its right next to the beach and the area had many public pinic tables for eating on.

We went around lunch time, both times and even at 11am they had a little line starting already. The staff are so incredibly friendly and they gave us great service! The portion sizes where large (whiched we liked because we couldnt get enough of the freshness), and we ordered the fish and chips packs both times. The fish was cooked perfectly and I just love a good hot chip and these were bloody good chips. Don’t walk past this store and don’t worry about waiting in line. Its well worth it.

  3. A good convenient fish and chip shop.
Seems quite popular at night, there’s always a line of people ordering.
    Very convenient location.
There are some tables and chairs for dine in options, but very much designed to be a takeaway shop.
A decent serving size of fish and chips.

  4. We had 2 x kids chicken nugget and chips and drink and a 4 piece cod and fish family deal. Quite large pieces of fish. Nicely battered. Reasonable serving of chips and a large sized drink. Suited 4 adults and 2 kids. Approximately $60 total very reasonably priced. Good quality fish and well cooked crunchy chips. Would buy again and recommend. Great location. Across from a lovely river view and park setting. Lots of picnic spots across the road. Great fast friendly service. Highly recommended by the locals. Very busy but it only took 15 min to receive our dinner.
