a week agoWe we’re driving through Coffs Harbour today enroute for the Gold Coast. When our car unexpectedly had a warning light come on regarding the diesel particulate filter system ! We contacted Mitsubishi for advice. They instructed us to pull over immediately and not drive the car until a mechanic had inspected the oil to make sure that a failed particulate burn didn’t flood the oil with diesel.Coffs Harbour Mitsubishi said they could do an inspection in 3 weeks time??.Our road side assistance also wasnt being helpful.
So we got in touch with Flynn and the Team at Blue Water Mechanical. They took the car in with as little as 5 minutes notice and serviced the DPF system, changed the oil and reset the fault codes……Had us back on the road after a couple of hours…….all for a reasonable price with such short notice!!
Without them we would still be sitting in the hungry jacks carpark scratching our heads wondering what we are going to do!

4 months agoThe guys at Blue Water helped us out when we broke down on our way to Sydney. We had a flight to catch the next day so they ordered parts, fit us in first thing and had us back on the road as quickly as they could. Super friendly and helpful. They were efficient and great at communicating with me at all times, they ensured I knew what was wrong with my car and pricing was very reasonable. In my tiny little Mazda campervan they managed to replace the water pump and flush out the radiator in a remarkable time. I am eternally grateful to their compassion and work ethic. If you’re planning on breaking down anytime soon, I would definitely recommend Blue Water Mechanical!

Craig and the team were super helpful getting our Hilux roadworthy for registration – very honest and fair priced. Look forward to having our vehicles regularly serviced with the team.
On a trip from Queensland to Newcastle my car dropped the engine undertray which then was dragging on the road. I called in Advanced Mechanicals who removed, repaired and replaced the tray within the hour and then charged me less than half what I expected.
Brilliant.
I took my Honda accord 2008 to this mechanic for rego check, and there was some cracking noise in the engine bay. I told them to fix it, but they didn’t. They changed another part of my car that part wasn’t the right one. I paid $575 , and then they said there is an issue with the gearbox, but there was not . the front engine mount was broken, as I have replaced somewhere else.
Time to leave a review, had a blue slip, then some repairs on my diesel, then just now a pink slip – these are good guys with good pricing and the mechanics doing the work know their stuff so they are swift with the work, recommended to anyone in need
Took my car in for a repair, over the course of a week I was told it was a different problem each day and I had to wait till the following day for the part to come in. When I got my car back (quite expensive invoice), it worked for less than 2hrs, by this time I was far from coffs harbour near ballina.
When I called to say it had gone back to the same issue, I was simply told “well I don’t know what the problem would be, because we fixed it”…. well obviously they didn’t.
Terrible experience.
